My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm lighthearted and I like to joke around a lot. I think I have a pretty positive outlook on life. I think of myself as patient, considerate, passionate, and have a strong personality.

I like outdoor activities such as camping and hiking, sometimes. My real hobby, though, is ideas. I love to hear and discuss ideas. Politically, I'm still finding myself- no group seems to have all the answers. I identify as libertarian, but find some Libertarian candidates' ideas too idealistic and impractical. May run for office someday.

I also like to watch tv, movies, play video games, go play pool, tinker with computers, have poker games from time time, and go to the casino once in awhile and try to beat the dealer! I love playing blackjack and craps in Vegas.

According to one personality test, I'm a DIRECTOR/explorer. According to another, I'm an ENTP, which suggests I'm "clever". I don't know, though, I've always felt more introverted than extroverted.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I was in the Army for 6 years. In 2013 I finished my Bachelor's in Chemistry and Teaching Credential. I taught English in Taiwan for two years. Now I'm back in the US, looking for teaching jobs.

I am an Assistant Organizer for an atheist/agnostic Meetup group. I’m an agnostic, and being non-religious is a big part of who I am.

I believe we all have a duty to defend the freedoms we've been given, so I try to stay informed, and I get active on what I consider to be important issues. I'm intent on leaving this world better than I found it. I used to be in several civic service organizations that focused on community service and leadership development for young people. That's something I'd like to get into again soon. I try very hard not to be wasteful, and to reduce my carbon footprint.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I’m a good, supportive friend, and a formidable opponent at trivia games. My friends say I'm a good conversationalist, and I get compliments on my cooking, writing, and backrubs.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My posture. I have good posture, even by military standards. I also get compliments on my blue eyes.

My favorite movies are King Kong, The Incredibles, Little Miss Sunshine, Lost in Translation, Everything is Illuminated, Grosse Point Blank, Juno, National Treasure, Hunt For Red October, The Die Hard Series, Ronin, Thomas Crowne Affair, "Her", Thank You For Sharing, Ace Ventura, Super Troopers, Old School, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, It's Complicated, I Heart Huckabees, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, In A World, It's a Disaster, Edge of Tomorrow, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Spiderman.

My favorite food is Pizza. Favorite Vegas buffet: The Buffet at the Wynn. I always stop there on my last day in town.

I like all music except punk, heavy metal, and... basically anything that tries to pass off screaming at the top of your lungs as talent.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I consider myself pretty non-material. There's nothing I couldn't live without. But six things I really enjoy:

-Intelligent conversation
-Driving my car or riding my motorcycle
-The support of my family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Utopia. I know a perfect world is not achievable. But I want as close to a perfect world as possible. I think about what we should do for our economy, what our foreign policy should be, how we need to prepare our young people to lead in the future.

I also think about love and relationships a lot. I see so many unhealthy relationships, where one party or another is unhappy. Healthy relationships is a very important subject for me. Two books that I found very insightful were "Why Him? Why Her?" by Helen Fisher and "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman. Read them, they just might change your life!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Playing Traveler (a pencil and paper RPG- like Dungeons & Dragons in space) or poker with my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get hit on by guys all the time. Too bad I'm not gay *shrugs*
