My self-summary
I should probably say that I've moved to Stockholm at the beginning of July, and so I'm new and still discovering this wonderful city, with it's wonderful people and their wonderful candies and pastries.

I'd love to make new friends and meet interesting, as I need to re-build my social circles from scratch.

I love solving problems, critical thinking and am not afraid to introspect and change my opinions if necessary.

Feminist in the making, meaning:
I'm treating women and other oppressed groups like they are actual people.
I'm somewhat educated in issues of gender, LGBTQ and privileges.
I strive to be an ally.

While the world is far from perfect (damn republicans), I try to at least make my own environment equal, respectful and safe for everyone.

An advanced student of inter-personal communication (thanks, Cliff Pervocracy!)
What I’m doing with my life
A proud "Jack-of-all-trades, master of few" software engineer in the field of DevOps.

In my spare time I play board games, procrastinate on reddit, hang out with friends, play or watch Starcraft 2, ride bicycle, cook and watch shows.
I’m really good at
Communicating with people. I'm a good listener who looks for the nuances and I'm very straightforward in expressing exactly what I want.

Making my friends laugh, even on account of myself if need be.
I'm an awesome friend. Ask any one of my friends (Note that they might be biased).

Math, logic and rational thinking.

Kicking the crap out of people mercilessly at board games (or lose gracefully).

Tell computers to do my bidding with awesome software.

The first things people usually notice about me
I'll answer this personality-wise which is more interesting:

I would have to say that I come of as a calculated person. People notice that I think about what I'm gonna say and how exactly I'm gonna say it.

"The different between the right words and the almost-right words is the difference between lightning and lightning bug"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
To avoid making this too crowded with name-dropping, I'll just pick three titles which are among my favourites for each category.

Books (series):
Song of Ice and Fire, Dune, Amber

Books (singles):
Any Discworld novel, Stories of Your Life and Others, Ender's Game

Neil Gaiman, Ursula K. Le Guin, Robert A. Heinlein

Sandman, Order of the Stick (I have them all hardcover, so I allow myself to put it here), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

The Oatmeal, Sinfest, XKCD

Music: (changes frequently)
Dresden Dolls, Nightwish, The Fratellis

Food (I'm an omnomnomnivore):
Avocado, Rich Cheeses, Mango

Movies: (changes frequently)
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Flight of Dragons (childhood nostalgy), The Prestige.

TV Shows:
House of Cards, The Walking Dead, Brooklyn Nine-Nine
The six things I could never do without
1. My RSS feeds

2. The rush of wind as I ride my bicycle really really fast

3. Dancing like a loon in privacy (or with people I feel safe with) to really loud 'you-must-dance' music

4. Soaking in a hot-tub for the better part of an hour when I feel down

5. Allowing myself to splurge on quality foodstuff on occasion.
Here, quality can be defined very differently each time.

6. The satisfaction of solving a challenging problem after dealing with it for a long time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Human nature. I'm a fan and a student of it. It fascinates me daily.
I enjoy popular science that is relevant to it such as TED talks, and books such as 'Predictably Irrational' and 'Stumbling on Happiness'.
On a typical Friday night I am
Resting after a tiring shopping experience at the farmer's market.

Staying at home and having a bunch of friends for food/drinks is usually fun.

Definitely *not* going out on Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm really scared to get lost.

Sometimes, I get lost just because I have a panic attack because I fear getting lost, and I start making irrational choices and taking random turns and directions.

Getting a smartphone with Waze has made my life good.
