Summarizing myself is such a tricky business. I love to sit around with friends and discuss the things we're learning about ourselves, sexuality, books, religion, gender, dreams, life, the universe and, y'know, everything.

I am fascinated by faith and religion. I suppose I identify as a spiritual atheist. I received a Field Studies degree in Religion for my undergrad. I believe that all religions contain wisdom and truths and I enjoy contemplating the ways that faith and belief affect our daily lives.

I'm also queer. I don't identify as bisexual because it seems to communicate that there are only two distinct genders for me to be attracted to, while I'm often attracted to people who are gender-benders, trans, etc.

I also adore the outdoors. And trees. Oh man, I love trees.

I'm currently working in customer service and enjoy it, though I don't want to do it forever. I'm looking into getting my master's in counseling.

Generally in my life, I'm aiming to enjoy every moment, be generous, be kind, live with passion and intentionality, and to leave this place better than I found it.

Books: I really enjoy dystopian novels, sc-fi and fantasy. I also enjoy reading about religion and spirituality. The Dispossessed, The Hunger Games, The Ender series, A Wrinkle in Time, When Things Fall Apart

Movies: I like most movies, but my favorites are usually the ones that invite me to examine my life. To End All Wars, The Fountain, Life of Pi, Life in a Day

Food: I'm especially partial to sushi and Indian food, but I'll eat almost anything.

I have a dream of someday owning an aviary with lots of beautiful and tame birds. I would love to have it open to the public so other people could enjoy them as well. I currently only have one bird, but this is *so* going to happen.
