I've recently moved to the Bristol area to start my own ethical food business. I don't know Bristol at all (or anybody in it), so any suggestions of things to see, places to eat and drink, etc. are welcome!

I love cooking, knitting, sewing, live music, walking, driving, cafes, the cinema, food shopping, comedy, being at home, wine, gin, cider, the sea, cosy pubs, clean bathrooms...

I am arty, thoughtful (as in I think a lot), sarcastic and easily riled. I'm pretty sure lots of people consider me boring but I enjoy a quiet life and can't be bothered to pretend anything different.

(What's with everyone's disclaimers about how they don't take life seriously?! Some things need to be taken seriously! Surely it hasn't become taboo to actually care about something, has it?)

Not thinking much further ahead than getting my business off the ground at the moment. I also want to buy a farm and adopt loads of animals to save them from slaughter and let them live in semi-freedom. Obviously the farm's not going to make any money, which is where my next point might confuse you.

Not bothered about earning a lot of money and not attracted to people who think that's important or just aim to "be rich".

The rest is undecided. =) (Just kidding. I have a spreadsheet on it which you might get to see if you're lucky).

I love reading but don't do it enough and don't remember names of books or authors. I remember really enjoying The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime and right now I'm reading Life of Pi very sporadically.

Films: Away We Go, Garden State, (500) Days of Summer, Invictus, Cinema Paradiso, Parlez-moi de la Pluie, L'Arnacoeur, I Am Sam, Going The Distance, The Secret Life Of Bees, Midnight in Paris.

Too many bands/musicians to mention but some favourites are The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, The Shins, Imogen Heap, Aimee Mann, Bob Marley, The Dandy Warhols, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, The Kinks, Pink Floyd, Blondie, Iron and Wine, Ben Folds and Anberlin, as well as some of the usual chart stuff, some classical and some more obscure stuff that there's no point naming. (Oooooh hipster).

All food except cucumber and banana. I have an aversion to phallic foods.

I could do without them but I wouldn't LIKE to. Not including friends and family!
