My self-summary
Hi there! I'm Luis, a life-long Chicagoan and jack of many trades.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a sports writer, dessert baker, Cubs baseball season ticket holder (among other things) looking for my next great adventure.

Want to tag along?
I’m really good at
1) Baking my friends awesome birthday cakes
2) Finding a good parking spot at the mall (which happens to be a skill I find tremendously underrated)
3) My job(s) (obviously)
The first things people usually notice about me
"Luis is a living, breathing litany of exclamation marks who spreads joy naturally."

Kind words from a friend who was not paid for their endorsement.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Not a book reader, but I'll pretty much read anything I get thrown my way by a friend. I love suggestions.

1) The Sandlot (my favorite movie ever)
2) The Blues Brothers
3) American Pie

1) New Girl was my guilty pleasure for the first two seasons, but I kinda lost track.
2) Seinfeld gets better with age
3) The Simpsons (bonus points for episodes prior to 2005)

As of 8/19/15: I have 7,107 songs on my iTunes. The three most listened to artists are Kanye West, John Mayer and Taylor Swift (who bumped Michael Jackson from the top 3)

Easier to say which foods I don't like (Hint: Seafood).
The six things I could never do without
1. Sports (I write baseball & football; research stats for other sports. It's kind of a thing I've got going on)
2. Family
3. My best friends
4. Music
5. Internet (Hard to work without the internet)
6. Phone
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How can I fit everything I want to do in the free-time I've allotted myself when I don't work?
On a typical Friday night I am
On a typical Friday night I am working, but I'd rather be doing anything else.

For example, I'd prefer to be hanging out with a hypothetical you who enjoys conversations, good food, good drinks and nine innings of baseball when spring and summer return.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't have a Netflix account.
You should message me if
You're awesome, made it all the way through this profile or want me to bake you a cake.
