I am Curious, Brave, and Nerdy.

My Self-Summary

I have recently finished up a bout of traveling, and I'm back in Sydney after 3 years. I'm a vegetarian but have only been for about 3/4 months, so far so good! I love eating and cooking and luckily haven't had any meat dreams yet (that sounds kinda dirty...). I also love science and finding out what people are discovering, especially astronomy. I'm quite into running and hoping to complete a marathon next year (maybe!?), and also recently into rowing. I can be quite shy at first but once I feel a bit more comfortable I open up and love joking around.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm in a bit of a limbo at the moment, I'm trying to decide to use some of my savings and go to NZ for a month or so, or to jump straight back into work. I want to start rowing again but only once I've settled down. I also want to continue the basic glass jewelery making classes I've done - welcome any suggestions on where to do this!

I’m really good at

Computers, laughing,

The first things people usually notice about me

Tall, my accent is a bit weird,

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I can never remember these from the top of my head!
Haven't been reading many books lately; New Scientist, Neuromancer, His Dark Materials trilogy, Harry Potter series, The Time Traveller's Wife, Snowcrash,
Music: Too many to list, I like some d'n'b, hard house, but also love alternative rocky bands. Just don't play me r'n'b or country and I'll be happy. Dresden Dolls, White Lies, Bloc Party, Porcupine Tree, Big Heavy Stuff,
Movies: Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Fargo, Shawshank, Dead Man's Shoes, London to Brighton, Life is Beautiful, Amelie, Garden State, Human Traffic
TV: The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Peep Show, Spaced, House, Summer Heights High,
Food: All of it? Although I don't eat meat anymore.

The six things I could never do without

Music, the people I love, the sun, carrot cake, (is it wrong that I keep thinking of different food to list in here??), G&Ts - I refuse to believe that they're an old ladies drink!, computer

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Why people believe in the things they do, what motivates people. Why some people seem in a constant state of anger - it must be so hard to keep that up.
Dorky sciencey stuff.

On a typical Friday night I am

Unfortunately nothing new here - Love to go out and see a live band, go clubbing (rock or dance), but again, love to stay in and eat a pizza, watch some movies.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I sort of really want a shamwow and a snuggie....

You should message me if

You're kind and open and looking for friendship. I am taking things slowly at the moment, but there are no rules - if things are going well in friendship then I could be up for taking things further.
