My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I'm a 43 year old, bi, poly, African-American, super-sized BBW. I love to read, play Scrabble (online at, I'm abcgirl - come join me!), and sometimes geek out ... I love hugs, kisses and cuddling, movies, Netflix, and I'm an aspiring writer!

My boyfriend (russell2d2) and I have recently have opened up our relationship to new potential (polyamorous) partners. We've met some wonderful people, but are still looking for someone to be in a primary relationship with him, or with him and me.

I've been in poly relationships before, but he hasn't, so please be gentle with him. We'd like to chat and hang out with you, have some meals with you, and all get to know one another some before moving forward romantically or sexually.

I think a closed triad or quad would be a lovely dynamic, but we're open to however our relationships develop on their own. If you turn out to be romantically inclined only towards him, hopefully you and I could become friends as well. I'm optimistic, as usual. :-)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Passing for a cog in a wheel by day, being creative and working on my novel by night. And by very early morning. And sometimes by light of my cell phone under the blankets.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Reciting great scenes from movies (I know, no one wants this, but I can't help it)

Being tactful but straightforward. Which often gets me in trouble. I forget that people sometimes say things to blow off steam, and I take them too seriously

Not telling the ending or good parts to a book or movie you haven't seen, read, or finished
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile... it likes to jump into conversations
Maybe that I love to laugh, too?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like SF, dystopian fiction, Survivor, classic and hard rock, any burger (hamburger, veggie burger!), pretty much all cookies, comedy, and it sucks but I'm allergic to chocolate. I have a few favorite musical artists but like a lot of unrelated genres and individual songs.

Some of my favorite books and series are The Handmaid's Tale, The Stand, and The Wheel of Time series; I'm currently reading Game of Thrones, and The One-Way Rain, by Cathy Jacobowitz.

Many different types of movies appeal to me. LOTR is an old favorite. I just watched and loved If I Were You. I enjoy known and unknown geeky, wonderful SF and fantasy. I love curling up at home or a friend's or a date's to a movie. I also adore going out to the movies.

I mostly write post-apocalyptic and dystopian fiction. Every now and then I can write something else. :-)

Right now my boyfriend and I are watching LOST, a documentary called Inequality, and catching up on this season's Once Upon A Time.

I do play Grand Theft Auto. Yay open-world gameplay!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Reading. I love to read, I need to read. I would seriously lose my mind without books.
Mental clarity and the ability to reason
My creative mind
Love. (And intimacy, and sex, which are not all the same thing.)
The freedom to choose (everything: my thoughts, my preferences, whom I love, how many I love, everything)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How the world as we know it, society, government, environment, or any part of the way we live now might crash, fall apart, become uncontrollably chaotic or disappear, and what we'll do about it.

How maybe one day some of the things we feel are true today based solely on spiritual experiences or based on faith will also become part of proven scientific fact. Which would not negate the spiritual belief in it. That would rock so hard! It's happened many times before...

What the characters in my book are planning to do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching a movie or cuddling or both; sometimes playing a board game!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
You usually have to drag the private stuff out of me ... :-)

You'd like to make new friends

You are literate but not pretentious

You are not literate and not pretentious

You love games, board games, or computer games, and want to play with me!

You love movies and want to watch with me!!

You liked my profile but feel nervous about messaging me or are not sure what to say. Please go ahead anyway... I don't really know what to say, either.

You don't fit the age range, or you would never eat what I eat or listen to my music, or you think we might not have the same beliefs... but something still resonated with you. What have we got to lose by trying?

You just feel like it...

By the way, these are and 'any of the above' and not 'all of the above' :-)
