I am honest, intelligent, and facetious.

My Self-Summary

My name is Shaun and I am currently a full-time student working towards a bachelors degree in business entrepreneurship from CSUDH and work as a freelance computer consultant. I'm 24 years old, born and raised in Southern California. I absolutely love everything about the beach, the ocean, and pretty much any outdoor setting complimented by a large body of water. Back in high school, I did varsity swim and water polo for four years... I love the water.

I love art and have broken many art professors' hearts by taking their classes for fun/requirement rather than a step towards some sort of related career. As much as I love art, design, computers, and English, my true passion and goal is striving for a law degree.

I'm an avid cloud enthusiast; perhaps it is just the daydreamer in me, but my favorite types of skies are the ones that follow a storm (the kind that are filled with those huge, painterly clouds). Likewise, I can practically get lost in a good night's sky--jacuzzi + a clear night, and I'm in heaven.

I enjoy helping people and spend a decent chunk of my time helping those in need, or even working with special-needs children when I get the chance (be it repairing a donated computer to give them a better class environment or going on a field trip and holding some hands).

My dog is amazing, and internet famous: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjKN6-fTVJY

I'm very open minded and love being proved wrong or learning something new.

What I’m doing with my life

For about four years, I worked in the top-tier of the music industry. It was fun and I have a bunch of great stories and memories, but now I am just working hard in school and striving to make something of myself.

I go to the gym several times a week to swim or lift weights (anyone with an LA Fitness pass?).

Right now I'm looking to meet new, honest people.

I’m really good at

Art. And I don't say that in the sense that I like to doodle... art has always been something that has let me really enjoy and experiment with ideas. I do graphic design professionally, but I have also enjoyed sculpting, sketching, and writing (yes, writing can indeed be an art).

Pictionary! I love pictionary... so much. Granted, while I have only played a few times in person, my friend recently got me into it online. Something about trying to think 3 steps ahead of whatever is being drawn by a guy trying to find a way to depict a random word is completely addicting to me. To be honest, nothing is more attractive than a girl who could correctly guess "Penguin" after only seeing me reach for the black marker. And yes, I'm quite aware that I'm a nerd. =)

Computers. I have been working with computers since I was but a wee child. Thankfully, it has lead me down a fun path in life and I have grown proud of being a nerd. If there is a broken computer, I will fix it. If there is a pale-faced grandparent desperately attempting to figure out how to e-mail, I will teach them. If I am sitting in class and the professor is taking too long to open a PDF file, I will be the first to stand up and lend a hand.

Banana Pancakes. Inspired by a Jack Johnson song, I decided to try my hand in the craft. Results: Tasty.

The first things people usually notice about me

My height, smile, or eyes.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: My favorite book is "Nonsense", but I haven't had a chance to finish it due to school. I'm dyslexic and can only handle so many books at one time. Other's include Copy This!, The Art of Deception, The Best of 2600, Nonsense, Can You Believe Your Eyes?

Movies: Anti Trust, The Union, Wedding Crashers, Funny People, Pineapple Express, Superbad, Caddyshack, Step Brothers, Office Space, Star Wars, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and practically anything with Seth Rogan or Will Ferrel in it.

Music: Jason Mraz, Movits!, Coldplay, Cage the Elephant, Beatles, Rammstein, AudioSlave, KoRn, Led Zeppelin, Old Metallica, White Stripes, Jack Johnson, Josh Groban, System of a Down, and Flobots (just to name a few). I enjoy a wide variety of music, but am not a sucker for fad-artists.

Food: I love Italian food and all types of seafood. My favorite place for Italian is a little spot in Uptown Whittier where my good friend is the head chef (amazing food... amazing). For seafood, I don't think it get's any better than Fish Company. I'm also a huuuuuuge fan of good Thai Food. Mmmm.

The six things I could never do without

1. The Internet (Lame? Possibly... but honest.)
2. My family
3. My brother and his wife (they get their own bullet point for really being there for me).
4. Water. Not just for drinking, because that'd be a pretty lame answer, akin to "Air". I mean that I really couldn't imagine not being able to go to the beach, or at bare minimum a large pool lol.
5. The ability to count.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Quantum physics, philosophy, or whether or not the weather is nice at the beach =P.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either hanging out with friends or studying/taking notes (yay being a student!).

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am an absolute sucker for cute toes and heels.

You should message me if

I am a huge fan of romance, and I am looking for someone who not only reciprocates interest, but appreciates it as well. While physical attraction is always a catalyst for something more, a girl's character and personality heavily shape her appearance in my eyes. I'm looking for honesty (liars and cheaters need not apply), intelligence, and goals. I am looking for a girl with a talent; a girl with a unique spark about her that captivates my interests.

I am looking for someone who enjoys having fun, laughing, being a dork (I am a huge fan of nerds), and is not mopey more often than not… I also, however, am looking for someone who has grown out of the party/club scene and doesn't need to get wasted whenever alcohol is available.

While I would enjoy dating, I'm also open to just hanging out and making friends. Meeting new people is the goal of me using this site =P.
