My self-summary
I like to read history, non-fiction, seafaring, exploration, war, sci-fi, and classics. I like coffee and wine, and all kinds of jazz, classical, folk, etc., mostly instrumental music. I have a great family.
I am happily married. Hubby and I are ethically non-monogamous, aka polyamorous and polysexual. I have a long-term boyfriend back in Berkeley, CA.

I am a homebody, a reader, and kind
What I’m doing with my life
I'm glad the holidays are over. I am a stay at home mom with a preschooler. She's growing up and changing, and I want to change my lifestyle along with her growing independence. Hopefully she'll be starting preschool in the fall, and I'd like to get her into dance lessons. I want to get a job outside the house that will make me a profit beyond day care costs, and I'm hoping that preschool will help with that! Low-cost child care is what public schooling is for, anyway, isn't it?
I’m really good at
learning languages, for someone my age; baking; changing plans (I'm flexible).
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't know. A bunch of people probably know me as "that woman who always comes with her kid".
In an adult social setting, people notice my eyes. Unless I'm wearing something sexy, I guess.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
a)Nathaniel Philbrick, Neil Gaiman, H.G. Welles, Toni Morrison, non-fiction, history, war, exploration, seafaring history
b)LOTR trilogy, Chariots of Fire, Amadeus, Pulp Fiction, The Godfather
also I'm into TV shows: Star Trek, HBO's Rome, and currently, HBO's True Blood
c)Jazz, classical, blues, folk, cajun, reggae, instrumental in general
d)fresh veggies, coffee, chocolate
The six things I could never do without
fresh air and views of the stars from time to time
I think that lacking nice fruity/vegetably sources of fructose would make me grumpy, though I could technechally live without them, on synthetic food or somesuch, I guess.

I can't think of more, right now. I'm adaptable. And I didn't want to list "food, water, shelter, clothing, oxygen, companionship", because those are universal.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my to-do list, because I don't usually write it down.
the topics in and around whatever book I'm reading. As I write this, it's mid-nineteenth century American politics and the Civil War.
On a typical Friday night I am
babysitting, and, like every night that I'm in, refreshing my favorite internet pages (mostly livejournal and google news).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't have any shameful secrets, or anything like that. I'm going to use this space to mull over the polyamorous/polysexual thing that I mentioned up at the top.
My husband is more romantic than me, when it comes to love/falling in love. I used to be very emotional about love. But now, I dont fall in love any more, I don't think. The people I love, I love as family members (that includes my boyfriend), not in the obsessive, crush-like way I used to fall in love. So I guess I would describe my open marriage as more polyamorous on his side, and more polysexual on mine, although we are both both.
I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi girls
  • Ages 24–54
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
you want to get to know me a little. I like cyber sex, but not with strangers. It does absolutley nothing for me if I don't know you!

Edited to add:
If you found my profile by looking up the keyword "cyber", and you match me less than 50%, and you only want to get to know me so that we can have cybersex- that's creepy. Don't message me unless you would like me as a platonic friend as well, please. I like cyber sex with my FRIENDS. Long distance friendships are fine, but they are only good when based on compatibility in many other areas other than sex.

Also, you should message me if you like to talk about coffee (weird, huh?), and drink it.
