I am sentient, on fire, and always right.

My Self-Summary

I'm on a never-ending mission to make life slightly more entertaining, in addition to hatching a plan to take over all known space with an army of self replicating nanobots.

What I’m doing with my life

Working as a Solaris guy, taking photographs, making strange noises with odd electronic devices and trying to work out where my world takeover plan failed. I think the nanobots might have been faulty.

I’m really good at

Solaris, AIX, Tru64, UNIX in general. Solving problems. Tinkering. Bright ideas. Waffling. Spirited philosophical debate. Being the devil's advocate.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

(A) Douglas Adams. Michael Marshall Smith. Machiavelli. Mark Leyner. Omar K. Ravenhurst. Solaris Internals. This list was assembled by looking for books sitting on my desk.

(B) Movies, huh? Well, anything goes. However tempting it is to try to think of the most arty, Serious and thus impressive films, I won't. Besides, Serious Films need to be balanced with B-grade monster movies. I mean, Tremors won't watch itself, will it?

(C) Sisters of Mercy, Nasenbluten, Rosetta Stone, Fear Factory, Beethoven, Tom Waits, Tom Lehrer, Skinny Puppy, Faith No More, Subway to Sally, Dave Brubeck ...

Pretty much anything that isn't manufactured meat pop music, rap, hip hop, RnB or that country & western song about a dog or a painful cardiac muscle.

The six things I could never do without

Music. Mail. Internet Access. Boots. Entertainment. Food.

An outage on any of those critical services would be dire.

Friends, Laughs, Friday Nights, Books, Long Lunches, Coffee.

On a typical Friday night I am

Having a beer.

You should message me if

Message if you're bored, looking for a random conversation, fancy a beer or a coffee. Perhaps you need more email to stand out between spams. Or perhaps, just for the hell of it.

Or, if you have a spare army of self-replicating nanobots...
