My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Updated late May, 2013, looks about right. Just checking this out, looking to meet new people. I'm a very private person, self employed and not real keen to publish a clear picture as I don't necessarily want this web site tied to my business.

I am looking for real people who go out to real places. I am not interested in spending a month emailing someone, meet me for a drink in a public place, reasonably early, so if you don't like me you've got plenty of time to do something with the rest of your evening. The DOB is incorrect, it may change, but will never be correct, I'm between 22 and 62, and if a precise number is that important, you wouldn't enjoy me anyway. Also, if you are firmly convinced that the earth was created in six days, six thousand years ago, or that life begins three and a half minutes after a prom night hook up, you're not likely to have fun with me, although I may have some with you. I believe in all the constitutional amendments, even the gun one, and think ERA, pot, and gay marriage should be added in no particular order.

Trying to figure out the match algorithm on this site, people who often look like I would get along with have low match percentage. I think they focus too much on astrology. I have dated non-smokers, vegetarians, christians, and all without those things being an issue.

Really can't stand football, and don't really care for any sports. I am a reasonably militant, although polite to a point smoker. So if you really hate that, have a nice day.

I spend my time running my business, hanging out in bars, pursuing my "hobbies" (I collect everything and have at least two of most everything ever manufactured), and being somewhat involved in politics.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to find something interesting, and motivating.
Survive the recession and get my house clean.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Troubleshooting. Problem solving in general. Repairing things, running businesses.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Trivial details. Often things people should have better social skills than to bring up with strangers.

If they get past the above it's probably the fact that I'm not afraid to speak my mind. Not so much in the form of a personal attack, but more often what everybody at the table is thinking, but afraid to say.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Most books I read are non fiction, technical, political/government and Florida.

Can handle most movies, not big on westerns, war, crime or medical dramas. Made in Heaven, The Man Who Would Be King, Thank You For Smoking, Breakfast of Champions, Batteries Not Included. Hopefully you've heard of at least one of those.

I listen to sappy 70's, folk, light rock, some country if it isn't too whiny or twangy. I prefer something with intelligent lyrics, but I don't mind a good instrumental. Don't care for so called dance music that spend 4 minutes repeating the same few phrases. Didn't care for that in pre-school and still don't

Italian, Mexican. Some Asian, sorry no sushi, but I'll have a beer while you eat it.
I am a very picky eater, generally a fan of food that I prepare.
