I love music so much it hurts. I like new stuff and old stuff. The
way i feel about the Beatles is probably the closest I've ever come
to being religious. Lately I'm all about the Van Morrison record
"Astral Weeks." I saw Steely Dan recently and was probably the only
one at that show in my 20s. I love Beach House, Pinback, Grizzly
Bear, Tortoise, The Besnard Lakes, The National, Fleet Foxes, Brian
Eno, Talking Heads, Television, Jens Lekman....I mean is there any
point in going on with this?
I have a healthy obsession with David Foster Wallace. I think he
was a genius and it's too bad he left us so early. The last book I
read was "The Farewell Waltz" by Milan Kundera. It was beautiful
and sad and funny--everything I want from a book. My heart breaks
(in a good way) when I read JD Salinger.
