My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love life. My nickname through college was Renegade and most people would pick the word "ridiculous" to describe me. I love my family and my friends (but let's be honest...everybody on here says that). My passion is to help people- with whatever I'm doing. I work for the Red Cross doing disaster operations but I keep a very good work-life balance.

I love adventures- whether big or small. I am very active- I'll play any sport, and I am the happiest and most at peace when I'm in the mountains lying by a creek, running on the beach, playing volleyball, bodysurfing, surfing , listening to a good live band with some soul, or people-watching near a busy intersection with some good food. I love food... Everything about it. I will eat just about anything. I'm never satisfied with the status quo, and am always wanting to learn and grow more. I have Spotify, Pandora, or Grooveshark on all day. I will listen to anything...try me.

My sense of humor is very dry and I try to never take myself too seriously and I can laugh at just about anything- yes, even myself- a lot.

I also believe that people don't ever grow up- we just learn how to act in public. If you agree with me, we will get along just fine :)

After I graduated from Stanford I worked overseas, and back and forth between the West and East coasts for awhile. Then I moved to Detroit, then Kentucky, and now back to DC.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Laughing a lot, enjoying the small and funny moments, thinking big, dreaming, acting on those dreams, trying to become the best in the world in whatever field I choose to pursue (it will likely be many at the same time), exploring, making new friends, keeping old friends, and you know, the usual.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
pretty much everything.

In reality, my dragon-fighting skills, cartwheel skills, and mind control skills are top notch but I am working on my invisibility skills.

If I want to become good at something, I'll make it happen, unless it's calculus, in which case it will win every time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I am tall and have blonde hair and very blue eyes. Beyond that, they probably notice that I like to laugh a lot, and can have three conversations at once about serious things while joking with someone else at the same time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Historical fiction, military history, Pat Conroy, the Wire, lots of movies, any kind of music but specifically country, classic rock, jazz, rock, techno, ya everything. I will eat anything but I am on a worldwide quest to find the best kabobs in every city on the planet.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
a good pair of headphones- ideally playing something, my water bottle, my leatherman (yes I was a Boy Scout), a good pair of shoes that look nice but that I can chase down a robber with, a backpack with endless capacity, and a map.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
changing the world, starting new businesses, wondering how a certain product got on a shelf, why people aren't happier in life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out on a weekend adventure, watching a movie, cooking dinner, out dancing, or responding to a global disaster...or doing all of those at the same time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I took the cookie from the cookie jar.
