I'm a city guy that was raised in a small Florida town. It might explain my life outlook. I prefer all the things that city life offers but am comfortable out in the sticks. I've been simultaneously a member of the ACLU and the NRA. Can't people support the first AND the second amendment at the same time? Yes? Good. However, I prefer to keep my politics to myself. Didn't your mother tell you that you don't talk about politics or religion in polite company? Crap. Here, I'm already talking about politics and I just brought up religion. Fortunately, you're not polite company.
I love finding that tucked-away southern Albanian restaurant, or trying the really scary looking stuff on the Pakistani buffet that will probably burn off my lips. I also dig southern greasy breakfast spots that close shortly after noon. I like to eat delicious food, so I practiced cooking until I became good at it. It sounds OCD. It was worth it.
I'm a reader, therefore I know the difference between there, their, they're, and thurr. I care about words. I quietly judge people by their grammar, word selection, and punctuation. Look! I just made you self-conscious about your spelling and grammar. I love wordplay and good-natured verbal sparring. Be able to respond to jokes and puns back with speed and wit, and we will get along marvelously.
