I am bodacious, hellacious, and loquacious.

My Self-Summary

In the words of Lenny Bruce, life is a four letter word. Enough said.

What I’m doing with my life

I used to work as a city planner, but I'm now working my way through the comedy world. My current plan is to do some combination of a 1940's-era radio show (i.e. The Shadow, etc) and a piece featuring local stand-up artists. I also write stories, cook (once contemplated culinary school), bike and improvise, occasionally all in the same day. I'm learning how to work in radio production and write news copy so I can one day live the liberal art student's dream of having my own syndicated comedy show on NPR.

I’m really good at

writing. and, it seems, wasting time and avoiding questions.

The first things people usually notice about me

My face, usually. The fact that I have one, that is.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

(A) Too many to name!

(B) How about directors instead? I'm a big fan of Scorcese, Wes Anderson, Brian De Palma, Sophia Coppola, Alfred Hitchcock, William Friedkin, Quentin Tarantino, Sidney Lumet, Robert Altman.

(C) Jesus Christ...name a genre.

The six things I could never do without

1) Engrish.com
2) Stuff White People Like (stuffwhitepeoplelike.com)
3) The Onion
4) Comedy Central
5) Hulu.com (all three seasons of Arrested Development for free)
6) Lists

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Usually what time I have to wake up. This is followed shortly by: (1) What am I going to have for lunch/snack? (2) How am I going to make a meal from the science experiment in my fridge?; (3) Can I afford a burrito?; and finally,(4) Where has all of my money gone?

Other than that, comedy and food (in general) and women. Often politics, music, science and art, too, but mostly if they contain references to one or more of the three previously mentioned subjects.

On a typical Friday night I am

Stocking shelves at a grocery store while rocking out to Hall and Oates.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Much of my life bears an uncanny resemblance to my Friday nights.

You should message me if

You like to slow motion fight and don't mind winning. It's sort of a deal breaker. If you know a way to parlay slow motion fighting into a career (i.e. Ultimate Slow Motion Fighting, Friday Night Slow Motion Fights, etc), we should definitely collaborate.

OR:

You have an opinion about the quote:

"I think being funny is not anyone's first choice."
