My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Lame as it sounds, I like to learn something new every day. Sometimes that means I will discover why poodles are shaved in a certain way (hint: it goes back to the times when they were used as hunting dogs), sometimes it means I will be trained in a new task, and sometimes it means I will get to meet someone new and learn about their lives and how we came to be in the same place at the same time.

I don't have a lot of free time, and the career paths I have chosen aren't really conducive to meeting single men, so online dating has become a good option for meeting like minded people. Often I'm asked the question, "What are you looking for?" and I almost always answer, "It depends on the person." I am not opposed to casual dating or a serious relationship, but I am opposed to people putting labels or limits on things in an effort to follow "the rules." If you are the type of person who won't call a girl for three days after you get her number, then I'm probably not interested in playing that game.

I love to make people laugh and often have a very sarcastic sense of humor. I am honest, sometimes brutally so, and I expect nothing less from someone I date. Keep reading if any of this sounds good.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have one degree in Business Administration and another in Education. I currently work in education.

I have a close knit family and friends in many walks of life, so I try to spend time with them when I can as well.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at going after things that I want. I'm a very motivated person, and have surprised myself and others with my accomplishments in the past. I have two degrees and plan to do graduate and post graduate level work as well. I believe education and hard work are the two best ways to succeed.
The first things people usually notice about me

If we are talking physically, I would say my hair. Personality wise, I would say people notice my ability to tell extremely lame jokes, or talk to complete strangers.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books are a passion of mine. I read quite a bit, and while it isn't all classified as "literature," I do not think I would be interested in someone who didn't read.

My first job was in a movie theater, and I definitely enjoy watching movies and some television shows. I'm more of a comedy fan than drama or action, but its best when they are a mix of the three.

If you ask me what type of music I like, my answer will be, "I like what I like." I don't have a certain genre or artist, but I know what I like when I hear it.

I enjoy most cuisines, with favorites being Cajun or Asian influence. I love to cook but don't do it as often as I would like.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
After a nap and a little time to decompress from the week, I like to go out to dinner, maybe catch live music, or sing karaoke. If it has been a particularly long or trying week, you might find me at home with a movie in the DVD player and a bag of popcorn.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes I wear two different socks. Same color and all, but I'm not the world's greatest sock sorter.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are mesmerized by all the things I have said. :)

Actually, you should message me if you find we are similar in age and interests, live in the same city, and you think we would be a good match. Also, you should be able to come up with something more than "hi" or "what's up" in that initial email.
