I am a bit quiet sometimes until you get to know me. I have a passion for history and enjoy reading history books for pleasure, particularly anything related to military history. I also enjoy historical fiction, fantasy and technothrillers. I also like chess and miniature wargaming.

The rest? Well, you will just have to find that out for yourself...

Voluntary Work. I am heavily involved in voluntary work.

Occasional culinary thrombosis (better known as being a clot in the kitchen) and extinguishuing small grill/frying pan fires.

History. I love history.

That I look younger than I am. That's what they tell me anyway. I am also quite shy at first.

Lord of the Rings, Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Movies

I enjoy historical films, sci fi, drama and comedies. No favourites as such. It depends how I feel at the time.

Not really a movie but I loved the BBC comedy series Coupling and have been known to slip qoutes into general conversation.

Food.

Well, I eat a lot of things but I particularly enjoy chicken and duck. I also have a bit of a chocalate addiction thanks to my Dad who used to work for Thorntons until he retired a few years ago. Let's just say that while growing up I had plenty of opportunitity to "help" him with his work :-)

Music.

I like all sorts but particularly enjoy 60's 70's and 80's. Particular favourites are Elvis, Belinda Carlisle, Madonna, Abba, Olivia Newton John and Debbie Gibson. Sometimes I also enjoy Country particularly artists such as Tammy Wynette. She had a really lovely singing voice which is great to listen to when trying to relax. Yes, I know! :-)

Social Justice. Which is quite important to me as it is often in such short supply these days.

I survived school bullying but developed a bad stammer which is an occasional problem
