Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm the creative type--artistic, sensitive, curious--I write, I
sing, I act, I teach. I like to run; I'm in pretty good shape and
love being engaged in the world, either with physical activity that
makes my blood flow or cultural things that remind me what the
human experience is all about...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an actor, director, narrator, teacher, musician - have been all
my life; not the easiest of professions but quite satisfying to do
what one loves. I've had success; I've had setbacks. But I am
persistent and dedicated. I'm on a mission of greater
self-discovery, testing my courage and my limitations. And I'm
excited about what it's teaching me.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Terrific whistler, not a bad tennis player; I can shoot some hoops
too. I am a bit of a dialect specialist, so I can pick out where
people are from and have been known to use an accent or two in my
work. I love words and I'm not afraid to use them, so if I can use
the polysyllabic word instead of the most retrievable synonym, I'm
gonna use it. So shoot me--it's the way my brain works.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hands maybe? My eyes possibly. People always remark that I'm
tall, but I have to admit I'm a short guy inside a tall person's
body. People notice my vocabulary too. I have a distinctive laugh;
that might not be a good thing--I don't know. But I'm going to keep

Books: anything by Jonathan Franzen, "Revolutionary Road",
"Middlesex", well written history, Malcolm Gladwell's stuff; read
the New Yorker when I can...
Movies: "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", "The Lives of
Others", great genre stuff like "LA Confidential" and the "Bourne"
films, foreign films, anything by James L. Brooks...
Music: great singer/songwriters from Paul Simon to Alanis
Morrisette, Jobim to Pat Metheny, Stravinsky to Beethoven "If music
be the food of love, play on!"
Food: Total omnivore (sans organ meats) but any food, any
style--although I eat healthfully, so, although I love a
Chik-fil-A, I don't eat them that often.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, definitely...my glasses, sad to say (sign of the times) my
friends and family, a sense of purpose (without that? WTF?), a
world without Ice Cream or Potato Chips would be a barren land, a
good laugh--yeah that's not a bad list.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Navigating my life - career, family, friends - it's a challenge to
keep all the balls in the air and maintain a sense of balance. I
get excited about new ideas and the people who are manifesting them
- the arts, business - doesn't matter. I find it interesting.
Spiritual things - it's a journey and I have very definite ideas of
what I think is crap and a lot of curiosity about the stuff I don't
know squat about.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'd like to be better at what I do for a living. I feel like I have
miles to go before I sleep. And sometimes it does keep me up at
