My self-summary
Ok, here's mine. Aren't these self-summaries fun? (Self declarations first, followed by aspirations) I always shudder a little when writing these... to be sincere or humorous? I guess I'll opt for the more non-entertaining version. That way, if we start communicating, you'll be pleased with how damn funny and witty am I!

I don't do ALL of these things everyday, but a few things I like doing are rock climbing, white water rafting, canoeing, basketball, frisbee, jet skiing/slalom water skiing/snow skiing, hiking, biking, tennis, and boating. Aside from all the sweaty fun, I enjoy cultural diversity; museums, art, photography, billiards, ethnic food (with some reserve), dance (Loca Luna) and I'm particularly fond of good blues music.

Self-expression and art is extremely important to me, and I have a venue through which I'm able to capitalize on the artist side of me. Luckily for me, and a concert hall full of others, I love my job.

I adore a woman who can make me snort my drink through my nose at dinner. Seriously. Isn't laughter medicinal and soothing? Life's too short to be all serious.
Relax, enjoy it, and let your hair down.
I’m usually very good at making people laugh -- I tend to have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor but can also just be weirdly funny. Though remember, as I fill out this profile stuff I am trying to sound very un-funny. I think it's working

All that aside, there's more to life than mere laughter. Trying to have an open mind and enjoying diversity in life is my goal. My sensitive side requires romance and cuddling up with a girl and enjoying the quiet life, but I also like spontaneity in a relationship as well. So while I enjoy the comforts of home, cooking (co-ed like with my Five-Star cooking skills), and watching a movie while massaging (her) feet, I also like to travel, Braves games, weekend road trips, hikes and special events! Even shopping!!

Part of my life involves my two incredible children, both girls, but their mother relocated to Va so they are not here that often. We do communicate often but they're not part of the daily routine, sad as that is. Yet, I am optimistic about being a part of your children's lives, should that opportunity arise.

My goal is to meet a girl who thoroughly enjoys living life. She will enjoy dancing, be full of cheerful courage, ready to explore, and take chances in life. We will encourage each other, praise each other, tease each other, challenge each other, and give each other slack. She would put art above sentiment, science above superstition, and passion above the predictable. You may not ride every rollercoaster, but you won't pass up the biggest and meanest one. And when I am the butt of my own joke, as I usually am, you'll laugh open mouthed.

We can enjoy a diverse interest in music, not be locked into one genre or another. We can be open to new ideas and respect a difference of opinion without it being a dealbreaker. We can enjoy doing the chicken dance on a snowy, frigid Octoberfest night in Helen, GA, the same as we enjoy soaking up sun and castle building on a Cabo San Lucas beach in the heart of summer. And we will eat like kings and royalty- because we can!!

I am affable, observant, and creative

I'm an International Butt Double.

I do keep a day job, however......

I'm self-employed in remodeling, specifically, tile, marble and stone, but perform many different related trades. I truly love my job, AND my boss.

Edmond Boreaux Zekeley once wrote.."Most people work to make a living. Some work to acquire wealth or fame, while a few work because there is something within them that demands expression. Only a few truly love it".

The six things I could never do without
*Traveling and sightseeing
*Observing life's mysteries
*My two loving, playful, intelligent, talented, artistic daughters, without whom I would not be the person I am today.
*Being honest
*My Dog, Harley and his sidekick, Mojo, the cat
*Learning from others or sharing my knowledge
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What tomorrow brings, what yesterday forgot, how long before our populations exceed our land mass, who's going to fix our government, our schools, or our social infrastructure. When is the pendulum of gender equality going to start centering on true equal, are my kids and my pets well cared for and where do we go when we go. IS there life after divorce? And most of all, what's on comedy Central.

You can't change directions if you don't know where you stand. (Author unknown)

The secret of success is that, it is not the absence of failure, but the absence of envy. (Herodotus)

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil women. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brothers keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengence and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. (from Pulp Fiction)(or Ezekiel)

A single, seemingly powerless person, who dares to cry out the words of truth, and to stand behind it with all his power and all his might, ready to pay a big price, has surprisingly greater power, though formerly disenfranchised, than do thousands of anonymous voters"..

Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up. (Pablo Picasso)

Todays mighty oak is just yesterdays nut that held its ground.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'll have to get back to you on this.

For starters....maybe playing pool, dancing.... or making dinner at home.... or maybe the start of a weekender road trip.

I used to feel the need to be out on the town on Friday nights and I used to spend an abundance of time with my daughters when they lived here, but lately, I've been spending more and more time at home on Fridays and I would enjoy meeting someone to infuse that time slot with. (wink)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
A reminder - if at first you don't succeed, sky-diving is not for you.

Being a stomach sleeper, I don't snore.

Much like a cat knitting, I enjoy giving massage and reflexology. That translates into dividends for you. ( Is that Private? )

(On a side note, I find it highly amusing how SO many people think this category requires some deeply divulging personal matter that that they wouldn't admit on their deathbed. Private could simply mean you like wearing argyle knee socks to bed...lol.... or you have a strange fascination for frozen foods..... )
