I looked at what others have written and there are some very eloquent summaries. I didn't know we had to write a novel.
Okay, here goes.
I am a retired Federal employee. I worked for the government for 30 years and I enjoyed every minute. Of course, I am enjoying being retired but I am also very active in other things. I do a lot of volunteer work with veteran's organizations and I get great satisfaction helping our troops and their families. I just recently started a part time job at a physician's office one day a week. It gives me something else to do and learn new things.
Don't think I don't enjoy my retirement. I do. I like to keep busy but there are days when it is snowing out and I don't even get out of my PJ's.
Okay, I will get down to some basic information.
After I retired, I had the opportunity to live in St. Thomas for a year. You know how when you are working all those years you wish you could live on an island? Well, I got do that. In fact, I lived on a boat and cruised all around the Virgin Islands and the BVI. I had the time of my life. (I will tell you that story if we get to know each other better).
I am looking for someone who I can spend some time with, who has the same personality and interests as me, and not is threatened by my strong Irish will. I am a very passionate person and I am very independent and always have been. Most of my friends say there is never a dull moment when they are around me.
Don't get me wrong. I don't make scenes (maybe when I was younger, I did) but I do enjoy life and I have a great sense of humor. So, if you don't have one, I am not for you.
I am outspoken and you will always know how I feel.
Anyway, this is getting to be a chore writing all of this stuff. I have so much more that I would like to say but, then, I would be writing my memoirs.
Just ask me what you want to know. I have several novels that I could write.
