My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Let's see...Fireworks, dogs and snowstorms always make me happy. I’m kind and sweet, low-key but chic. My day-to-day life is pretty conventional, but the unconventional appeals to me. I'm passionate about great design and great fiction, and find people-watching a very relaxing pastime. I love good food and wine. I think it’s fun to ride my bike on a nice day. I do not tolerate meanness. I rate irreverent humor and unexpected silliness very highly. I like quirky and classic movies, and discovering music I’ve never heard before. I'm both sensible and sensual. I’m inspired by smart, creative people. And I'm really glad I live in NYC.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
When I'm at work, I'm creating marketing strategies, collaborating with graphic designers and writing copy for clients. Otherwise, I like to check out new restaurants and bars (or revisit old favorites), go to art museums, relax in the park along the river (my "beach"), wander around the city and notice things, and cook for friends. Lately I've been taking figure drawing classes for the first time in ages. I read fiction voraciously. I'm interested in all sorts of design: architecture, interiors, fashion, furniture, gardens. And I like to go to performances: modern dance (usually at BAM), plays (dramas) and a huge range of music.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing, baking, driving, finding the perfect gift, power napping, hosting parties, naming that tune, empathizing, speaking French, drawing, procrastinating, choosing hotels and restaurants and stacking just-washed pots and pans in elaborate but surprisingly stable arrangements because I hate drying.
