My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I won't say that I'm honest to a fault, but I'm usually honest about my faults. About my virtues, not so much. Most people market themselves, I create warning labels. I believe that even if people see the worst of me, they'll give me a chance. Sometimes, I'm even right.

People tell me I should write an autobiography, but this space is too small.

I am irrelevant, irreverent, and erratic
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I collect degrees and certificates the way some people collect tattoos. I have two Bachelors of Science from ASU: one in Mathematics and one in Economics. I've also graduated twice from an improv theatre school, and have a certificate in hypnotherapy. Finally, I have an academic certificate in Creative Writing and am hoping to get my Masters of Fine Arts in the same field.

At the moment, that just means reading and writing a lot... and the occasional karaoke night to go from the sublime to the ridiculous(ly fun).

While I'm itching to get back into the academic environment, in the meantime I work in the software industry. I've just moved back from Tucson to Phoenix, and I could still use some new friends to round out my social circle.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Creativity, especially in writing. Old-school tabletop game design. Using big words correctly. Jovial Blasphemy. Logic. Hypnosis. Mathematics.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I'm smiling, my dimples. (As much as I hate it, this always seems to be the case.)

When I'm not wearing my glasses, my eyelashes.

When my hair is short, my brain surgery scar. (It's quite the tale.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

These are not favorites so much as current enjoyments, to give a hint of my tastes...

Books: The Oxford English Dictionary. Science fiction, speculative fiction, and fantasy.

Music: I'm horrible at remembering band names, so here are some genres: Musicals, Country, Pop, Musicals, Oldies, Classical (the only audiences that know how to behave!), Rock, and did I say Musicals? And Doctor Demento, who is in a category all his own.

Food: Give me meat, pasta, or pizza and I'm a happy guy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
As a writer, I spent a lot of time thinking about the ins and outs of life and how to apply them to my characters and their stories.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Trying to find a way to get out of the house. I've been to a few meetups, but as a new guy to town, I could still use some more reasons to get out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a cancer survivor.
