What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Recently promoted to AppleCare iOS Senior Advisor. So, if you call Apple for your iPhone, and ask for a manager, you may get me... Just in time for iOS 8 drop and the new iPhones. Working 50 - 60 hour-weeks. Contemplating picking up drinking like a bartender again, but ever fighting that battle. It's an interesting job I now have; full of predictable stories with unpredictable twists.

All the while making time for friends and family, and, of course, for my ladies Caitlyn, Adiera, Pearl, and Jade.
I also have two sugar gliders (Ezio & Knives) and two cats (Snickers & Toffee (won my girls in a break up: ask me the story sometime; it's a great one (I'm also getting really good at placing parentheticals in random places. (<=== See? Told you.)))).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
... Fixing iOS devices
... Cooking
... Tending bar
... Writing
... Storytelling
... Story-listening
... Movie quotes!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Whichever pipe (tobacco, and no, it's not wacky) I have on me that day and, if I wear one, my flat-cap.
They've been classified as "the right amount of swag[ger]" on multiple occasions: Has to be true, right?

These lists are far too long...

Books: Dark Tower series (only King stuff I actually enjoy), Neil Gaiman (American Gods, The Graveyard Book, Ananzi Boys, Neverwhere, Fragile Things, etc (to name a few)), Daniel Quinn (Ishmael, Story of B, My Ishmael, Beyond Civilization, If They Give You Lined Paper; Write Sideways, The Holy), Song of Ice & Fire series, The Bartimeaus Saga (Four part series written for young adults, but British young adults, not teenies with vampire obsessions), & some obscure science essays and journals
And, just finished my first Vonnegut book and loved it. His slights are ever so subtle yet blatant as fuck-all.
+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+
Movies: {Cuss! Too many to list!} Kevin Smith; True Romance; Fight Club (actually like the movie better than the book--it brings light to different facets of the story that are sort of hidden in the narrator's thoughts); Waiting... (twelve years restaurants... How could I not?); iRobot; Life Aquatic; The Fantastic Mr Fox (if you haven't noticed); Hotel Chevalier; VHS; Evil Dead(s); Alien saga; Necromentia; The Fast and the Furious movies (save for the second one because that was a silly title); Nightmare Before Christmas; Corpse Bride; 9; Big Fish; Ed Wood; The Usual Suspects; Back to the Future I, II, & III; Ninja Turtles (duh!); (While we're at it...) The Mighty Ducks I, II, & III; Ruby Sparks; Tucker and Dale v. Evil; The Cabin in the Woods; Death to Smoochie; The Fountain ... Seriously, anything from classics to obscure B-flicks to avant garde film experiments. Just ask about a movie. Chances are, I've seen it or it's on my list or it needs to be on my list.

TV Shows: Zim... Only thing that comes to mind. ... On second thought
Scrubs; How I Met Your Mother; Game of Thrones; The Walking Dead; Sifl and Olly; Simpsons; Lucy, The Daughter of the Devil; Frisky Dingo; Sealab 2021

Music: Huge list. The Dear Hunter; Co&Cam; Foo Fighters; Metric; Inspection 12; Man Man; Chiodos; Imagine Dragons; Regina Spektor; Finch; Led Zepplin; Pink Floyd; Eric Clapton; The Beatles; The Beets; G Love; I Am Ghost; Mum; Sigur Ros; Amiina; Saves the Day; Scary Kids; Daniel Johnston (select songs (which happen to be some of my all-time favorites)); Garfunkel and Oates; etc...
I'm a musician at heart and a poet/lover-of-classical-prose, so your music must speak to both of those facets of mine. Make me feel what prompted you to write that song. Bring me that connection.

FOOD!: Yes, please. I don't look like it, but I love food and I can eat a lot. My favorite to eat is delicious. My favorite to prepare is Italian. Been hankering to make some Coq au Vin lately, but have no one with whom to share. [Recently made this with my sister. It was delicious and should be made again soon.]
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family; Caitlyn (my car); Pearl (my surfboard); Adiera (my guitar); Jade (my motorcycle); My kids (four pets)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, Love, & Other Quandaries (Why people think they are smarter than everyone else is a recent one. Don't get it. You're not smarter than me, so stop trying to convince me that you need a new iPhone 6+ at no cost to you.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends and/or family, solving complex equations like others solve crosswords, or nothing at all.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I seem upset about something, I'm generally just faking it. It's easier to make people think that I care than to have them think I'm dead inside because I didn't react to something that really doesn't matter.
But, probably the most appropriate: Play Man Man near me whilst I'm drinking and I'll teach the world (whether it wants me or not).
