My real name is Malcom. But I also go by many names, so call me what you will ^_^
I’m just your everyday average home schooled sheep farmer boy. Well, as average as that can be.
I love being active, whether it be hiking, backpacking, camping, working out, playing basketball, and even cheerleading now and then.
I am a very easy going, sarcastic, mild mannered person. I get along with just about anyone. Everyone tends to love me once they get to know me (which can take a little while). I can be shy or quiet at first if you were to meet me. But once I get to know you (figure you out) I can be very outgoing, random, and silly.
Right now in life, I'm working and trying to find the ways to do the things I want to do.
I am a very strong willed, passionate, and independent person, and always have been. I'm a very open individual and will listen and talk about anything. I try to fallow what I learned at the YMCA as a kid as much as I can. The four core values, respect, responsibility, caring, and honesty. You don't have to do the same, but we will get along so much better if you do =)
I love the people in my life and I make it a goal to only have people in my life who affect me in a good way. But sadly, there are not too many people who I enjoy being around. Too many people are stuck in their own little box they have created around themselves. Many people are very closed minded, hardly ever open to one another's opinions or views, and are judgmental.
I see it as, I don’t know everything, and neither does anyone else. So be open and or at least be respectful of anything and everything. I have my opinions and views, yes. But I will not push them upon someone. I don’t even talk much about them unless I feel the need or when I am asked.
I enjoy people who are open minded, who are down to earth, and people who have the confidence to lead when they see the need. But know when to step back. I especially love people who can as random as me. Like going on a last minute trip to the coast, driving for no good reason, singing loud in public, spending a day in the forest, and even a night.
Things like that are awesome! They are the things I live for. But hardly anyone does random acts such as those..
Work is a big part of my life right now. I've been working at a Ymca for about six years now. I am a Physical Education Specialist, which is just a fancy name for “do whatever needs to get done”.
I mainly work with youth and youth associated projects such as.. After School Programs, coaching PE classes, overseeing a rock-wall, overseeing and helping ref Basketball, Football, and Volleyball when in season, and working in many different camp programs.
I always wanted to make a difference in the world. I’ve come to the conclusion that the best way to make an impact is to get in touch with as many people as you can, and who more impressionable then our younger generation? I hope that by working with our youth today, showing them my take and view on things, I can hopefully make their and our future better.
I love my job and the people I work with.
People and situations in our lives and how we deal with them make us who we are. Many things have happened to me throughout my life that have changed the way I will see and react to things.
Being home schooled gave me a very good outside view as a kid, my parents were very good at that. Though I didn’t always have the best resources and or education that I would have had in the public school system. Oh, and if you think that everyone that was home schooled has no social skills, I can prove you wrong!
I love my family. But like anyone, I will have my disputes with them. I moved out because of some issues that kept coming up and were only getting worse. I figure by getting space and time away would be the best plan of action. Plus I had already been looking to move out, so it was a good push.
I enjoy playing all kinds of sports. I am willing to play just about anything. Plus with my position at work, I'm always getting to learn and play new and old games all the time.
My favorite sports would have to be basketball and all star cheerleading (which I try to do as much as I can. But I don’t always get to with my work schedule).
Although I enjoy playing sports, I dislike watching sports and I do not fallow any team whatsoever. I get bored with watching sports on TV very quickly and would much rather go out and play them or do something fun and productive with my time.
Now as far as to why I am on this site. I originally joined because my friend wanted me to (they thought it would be fun/funny). But I ended up liking it to some extent because I enjoy chatting with random people and making friends.
Right now in life, I'm not out to try to find my "soulmate". I am just looking for friends. But if something comes from that, then all the better. In all my experiences I have found the best relationships have come from good friendships.
This is really all I can think of to put in this thing, So if you want to know more, Just ask. Or if you just want to strike up a conversation, I'm always willing to talk =)
“We often forget who we used to be, what we used to do, what all has happened in our life. Why? We all need to change, thats a fact, it’s life. But it seems like more and more people who try to change over do it, and then in return tend to change for the worse. When people change for the better. I think it's because they do remember...”
This is a quote of mine, and I'm damn proud of it! ^_^
