I've made a living with my wits most of my life. I've been dropped
into one of the world's biggest cities alone and survived,
prospered and had a wonderful time. I like many kinds of folks and
have had occasion to interact with a broad range, from Fortune 500
CEOs to assembly line and office workers. I often prefer the
My politics are very liberal and I have periodically done work
toward my ideas of fairness and justice. I mostly do consulting to
make a living, although I am still admitted to the practice of law
in Washington, D.C. too.
I have a variety of interests including science, the arts, and many
kinds of music. I enjoy travel, especially out of the U.S., and
find that the perspective of traveling and living outside the U.S.
is an important part of keeping a broad view of humanity.
I am discerning, compassionate, humorous, and have a tender touch.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently involved in organized voter protection efforts, as I
usually am this time of year. I'm ready to enjoy the change of
seasons again being outside, trying to catch more movies and
hearing some more live music.
I'm doing some personal geeky things like building a new computer,
getting some of my meager art reframed and hung, and trying NOT to
act my age.
I’m really good at
Learning new things, thinking "outside the box", absorbing art and
music, understanding technology, enjoying diversity, being
affectionate, maintaining a sense of wonder.

Perhaps this quote, from a woman's point of view, helps describe
the woman I am looking for:
"I, with a deeper instinct, choose a man who compels my strength,
who makes enormous demands on me, who does not doubt my courage or
my toughness, who does not believe me naive or innocent, who has
the courage to treat me like a woman."
You should message me if
you are an intelligent, vibrant, and compassionate woman who is
interested in exploring the future, especially if the previous
quote speaks to you.
