My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Ben. Hi : )

Real quick - I feel compelled to write this for some reason:
I apologize on behalf of my gender. I empathize with you regarding all of the dumb, copy-and-pasted, misspelled messages you get. But just know that behind even the most irritating "yo gurl... sup", that there's a person with thoughts and feelings! Probably trying to connect! So don't get jaded, it's not their fault that they're clueless! Being a guy is weird and hard and nobody teaches us how to do it well.

Alright, off the soap box, random aside is done now.
Ok, about me:

I'm spontaneous and grounded. Whimsical and logical. I like adventure and am committed to living a fun, engaged and connected life.

I'm a performer and a musician. I play a lot of instruments and am willing to barter said knowledge.

I'm a big supporter of the super burrito.

Burning man? Every chance I get. Scuba diving? Dude. Yes. So much. In another life I'm a dive master on the Gili Islands. GGG? Fo sho. Rock climbing, Snorkeling, snowboarding, biking, hiking, camping, romping; absolutely.
And travel? Indeed! I've been all over the world. Most recently was a massive Southeastern Asia trip. I'm already plotting a return to Indonesia...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I act. I music. direct. I music direct. I produce. I write.
And like any self respecting slash-career-professional, a million other things of course.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Embracing my masculinity and confidence without being a douche about it.
-Taking care of my mind, my body and everything else in between.
-Cooking. I make amazing food.
-De-awkwardizing situations.
-Making up words. (See: De-awkwardizing)
-Being honest like a mofo.
The first things people usually notice about me

My eyes. They change color depending on what I'm wearing.
Rad, right?

I'm a big podcaster. Like. To a nerdy extent. When we hang out I'm gonna say - "oh there was this podcast where..."
Fav's include: Savage Lovecast, This American Life, RadioLab, 99% Invisible, Invisibilia, Snap Judgement, The Truth, TED Talks, WTF, Nerdist.

Favorite Movies: Amadeus, the Jerk, Hayao Miyazaki or Secret of Nimh from when I was wee.
Books: Right now I'm having a love affair with Murakami. I really recommend you do this too, but what else... Catch 22, The Fountainhead or Ender's Game from when I was wee.
Musical Artists: Shakey Graves, Youth Lagoon, Ben Folds, Ryan Adams, Tallest Man on Earth... I'm overwhelmed already. There's a lot of em.

You got a little adventure in ya ; )

And if you're actually interested in meeting me IN REAL LIFE. Life is too short, my friends, to sit around talking on the internet. Take a chance! You'll never get to know me, nor I you unless we just sit down drink a beer and talk about jellyfish. Or life. Or books. Or whatever.

Ok, have a nice day.
