Books: I read on a daily basis and move through books quickly. That
said, I am always up for new suggestions. Here's a few my
favorites, although the list is much longer. Crooked Little Vein,
Horns, The Master and Margarita, The Maltese Falcon, Lord of the
Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire series, the Harry Potter books,
Hitchhiker's Guide, John Dies at the End, pretty much anything that
Hunter S. Thompson wrote, but particularly Hell's Angels and The
Rum Diary, early Chuck Palahniuk, particularly Invisible Monsters,
the Kenzie/Gennaro books, DMZ, Powers, Transmetropolitan, Preacher,
Y: The Last Man, and a mess of other stuff.
Movies: Chasing Amy, Battle Royale, Thank You for Smoking,
Ghostbusters, Coraline, Fight Club, The Cabin in the Woods,
Swimming With Sharks, The Maltese Falcon, Nick and Norah's Infinite
Playlist, Predator, Office Space, The Goonies, The Dark Knight,
Iron Man, Avengers, True Romance, (500) Days of Summer, Memento,
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Primal Fear, Reservoir Dogs,
Snatch, Nightmare Before Christmas, Jaws, Alien, Tombstone,
Serenity, Casablanca, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones (except the
Crystal Skull). If I actually tried to write a comprehensive list
here, I'd still be here in a few years.
Music: Most any kind of alternative rock, some metal and/or hard
rock, as well as some rap. I don't listen to much country, with the
exception of Johnny Cash. I have been on a fairly heavy Prince
kick, of late. Music is definitely something that requires a more
in depth conversation than can be had here.
Food: I'm pretty open to most things, with the exception of sushi.
Weird for a Seattlite, I know, but sushi and I no longer get along
after a falling out in college.
TV: Adventure Time, Community, Parks and Rec, Burn Notice, Avatar:
The Last Airbender, The West Wing, Lost, 30 Rock, Alias, Buffy,
Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse, The Prisoner, Breaking Bad, Mad Men,
Pushing Daisies, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Black Books,
Battlestar Galactica. I spend a lot of time watching shows on
