I work with children with autism and I love my job. I am hoping to get accepted for a Master's program next year in order to advance in my field and I'm really looking forward to that experience.

Despite my slightly nerdy excitement about school and reading up on the newest research...I also enjoy having fun! I am interested in circus arts of all kinds but my passion is the hula hoop. I enjoy music of all kinds but I really enjoy dancing on a Saturday night at parties with lots of bass, particularly if it's a space that's big enough for me to bring my hoop!

I also have an on again off again love affair with photography. Currently I'm in an on again phase and am learning and playing with my first DSLR camera! In my last 'on' phase I did a 365 project, where I tried to take a picture of myself every day for a year. I only made it about 6 months but I'm hoping to try that again as it forced me to learn much faster!

If I were to describe myself I would say I'm a little bit awkward sometimes, but generally really friendly. I'm shy and can seem more so particularly if I like someone or think they're really awesome. Generally I find it easier with people who are really extroverted as they pull me out of my shell a bit and force me to step out of my comfort zone. The unknown can be daunting....and generally a lot of fun once you get over the nerves.

I work with children with autism as an ABA instructor therapist. I am starting my course work towards getting my behaviour analyst board certification (BCBA) and I'm hoping to get into school next year to get my Masters. That's my plan for the next few years and then I may just run away and live on a beach for a while.

Hula hooping. I promise it's cooler than what you did in gym class! It's like a cross between circus arts, rhythmic gymnastics and dance. I've been doing it for going on three years now, and I'm pretty passionate about it. it has given me so much from fitness, to meditation, to an ice breaker with new people. It's one of the few things that I will easily admit that I am damn good at.

Food..I like everything! But my favourite is probably Indian. i also like sushi, dimsum, pho, ethiopian. I also enjoying cooking at home when I have the time available, I like making eggplant parmesan and a really delicious pasta dish with dandelion greens and sundried tomatoes and olives.
