I'm just a regular guy with a bit of irregularity to keep things
interesting. I like both the ballet and football, I've made wine
and grown flowers from seed, I prefer pizza to shrimp, I like extra
sauce on most everything--wings, salad, pizza, burgers, spaghetti,
tacos.... I cook on my grill year round. I would like to retire and
buy a sailboat, et cetera.
Some eccentric things about myself: I'm uncertain if I've ever
heard a Lady Gaga song. I frequently have dreams in which I'm
flying under my own power. Sometimes I stand while watching
television. I have an unhealthy intolerance for public restrooms
that don't have soap. I don't like candy, pie or popcorn; ice cream
is ok; I like chocolate though.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m really good at
I'm really good at forgetting what I told someone. I guess it's not
so bad though because it guides my honesty compass. I'm learning to
juggle. When I was a child I literally saved my younger sister's
life--I was really good at that for the 2 seconds that it lasted.
Oh yeah, I've recently found my new hobby--skydiving. I think it's
kind of important to be good at it if you're falling at 120 mph.
Wouldn't you agree?
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not sure what men notice about me, but I'm pretty certain women
notice my kindness, thoughtfulness, silliness and that I parallel
Batman in both good deeds and kick-ass-ness.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite books: I read only nonfiction; the content usually fits
into one of these categories--sociology, anthropology,
astrophysics, philosophy, politics. Yes, I think these subjects are
Favorite Movies: The Thin Red Line, Pi, Revolver, Christmas
Vacation, Sin City, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Sometimes in
April, et al. I like some movies simply for entertainment and
others to increase my understanding of humanity. I guess what I
mean by that is I like good action or comedy movies with explosions
and debauchery, but a hard-core drama will influence my life.
Favorite shows: Usually a documentary. I've twice watched a
documentary about the proliferation of testing nuclear weapons
(destruction/supremacy by might) and a documentary about The Buddah
(compassion/history's first hippie)------in the same day. Both are
incredibly well done and are on my top 10 list (message me if you
would like the titles).
The six things I could never do without
Well besides family and friends (like everybody writes) I couldn't
do without (1) expensive beer, (2) aged bourbon, (3) my dogs, (4)
books, (6)movie night with a good dinner and aforementioned
beverage, (7) the serenity of gardening, (8) Einstein's theories of
special and general relativity. While numbers 7 and 8 are true, I
listed more than six just to be rebellious.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to take over the world. I get my inspiration from "Pinky and
the Brain" as well as Starbucks/McDonald's/Citizens United/Walmart.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either helping old ladies cross the street or throwing my shoe at
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm going to host a pool party for Gremlins with midnight snacks.
