My self-summary
From Ireland, lived in Toronto for two years. Have a pretty easy lifestyle, play some rugby in the summer and beer with friends every weekend....in hindsight that's a pretty boring summary of a person. I've lived in London, new York and Toronto in the last four years. Just to focus this tripe i'll use the tool of comparison. I've noticed since I came to Vancouver a massive alternative vibe which is cool. I suppose I like to eat meat and have sex with women and only one at a time, I wear a suit to work and I like that except for ironing. I get very frustrated talking to aggressive or loud people or someone carrying some emotional weight with a point to prove. I cannot be arsed, so to speak. I like to be simple, to walk and talk and go to new places. I find it refreshing when people do things and never talk about them. I judge people and myself for what we do and how we treat people, not what we say or how we dress or what we stand for. In a time of great fear and stress you would all turn into flesh eating raving lunatics anyway. I would like to dig for worms with you.
What I’m doing with my life
Working as a consultant, travelling through major cities which in all honesty can lead to either a whorish or lonely existence and I've fluctuated between both depending on mood and opportunity. Though I intend to be here for three years.
I’m really good at
playing devils advocate. Puzzles. Being thrown in the deep end. Empathising. Not panicking. Getting too involved.
The first things people usually notice about me
My face probably
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is really too much. I like movies because they've summarised the information and expressed it, utilising an intuitive media. And food , I'm a big fan of eating things, always have been.
The six things I could never do without
a story
something to anticipate
someone to tell the story to
a moral compass
good food
A good coat
I spend a lot of time thinking about
things I haven't done.
things I should learn before I die
On a typical Friday night I am
Drinking with friends, talking about some obscure thing that is absolutely not serious and definitely has nothing to do with work or making money.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am definitely not a genius.
You should message me if
You wanna go for a beer, you are interested in talking to me or you would like to show me something new.
