My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm 37 years old, living in Boston and working in college admissions. I absolutely love my job. Graduated in 2001 from Berklee College of Music and got my master's in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida in 2006. I taught middle school band for four years in FL, and then managed a middle school/high school performing arts program for four years in FL before shipping back up to Boston. Originally from the Chicago suburbs. (Aurora - Wayne's World!) After college I performed professionally as a musician for about a year and a half, and I still perform locally here and there with different groups. I've recently started getting into songwriting and I'm in love with it.

I love to laugh and make others laugh. I'm adventurous and mischievous. There's pretty much always a smile on my face. Love to catch live shows, hang out with friends at happy hour, ride my bike along the Charles River, chill with my dog, and read voraciously. Although I have no immediate family in the area, they are still extremely important to me, and I value those strong family ties in a partner as well. I donated a kidney last summer to a stranger and since then his family has really become like my Boston family. Such a beautiful experience.

Who I'm looking for: a man who is witty, intelligent, and really into music (or at least has a healthy appreciation for it).

There's more, but those three things are pretty much mandatory. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in college admissions, managing our student and alumni representative programs.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My dog thinks I'm good at everything. But I'd say I'm good at music, enjoying life, laughing, and being positive.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile. And my laugh. It's infectious.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Music - singer/songwriter and alternative are my favorites to listen to. FKA twigs, Frank Ocean, Ben Folds, Smashing Pumpkins, Dave Matthews, Rachael Yamagata, Daughter, Emily Wolfe, Gotye, Joshua Radin, Sara Bareilles, City and Colour, Lucius, Haim, Zero 7, Reign of Kindo, etc. The list is endless. I love books that completely engross me to the point that the real world falls away. Typically fiction. Not a huge TV watcher though I can easily get sucked into a good show. Food - I'm an equal opportunity eater. :) Movies - movies that capture my attention 100%.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order: music, my iPhone, a book, good conversations, laughter, and my dog.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
People, what makes them tick. Thought about going into psychology once upon a time. Relationships (all sorts) and interpersonal dynamics intrigue me. And of course, I think about music all the time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Going out for happy hour after work for a few hours, then going home and crashing on the couch with my dog. Or during travel season, checking out the different locales I'm in. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have dropped my iPhone on my face while lying in bed more times than I'd care to admit.
