My self-summary Propose an edit
I have decided to soften the tone of my profile. My numerous silent
visitors don't really seem like bad people so I don't feel I should
be going out of my way to alienate them. Even if people looking at
me and swiftly leaving without acknowledgement feels like a
denigration of my social worth as well as making me feel like a
particularly underwhelming species languishing in a shit zoo. I
don't like being stared at, it unnerves me.
Anyway, I like art, which is handy for an artist. I also like all
the usual vague cultural things other people do; film, music,
reading. I also like bowling. I enjoy decadent adventures, although
I prefer them to be based on opulent indulgences as opposed to
anti-social activities or rampant criminality.
It is my dream to one day own an air-hockey table, and to be able
to afford the rent on a flat big enough to house it. I am probably
no closer to this than at any stage in my life previously.
Surely that's enough. You must be bored by now.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
I don't know generally, they don't tend to tell me.
One very good friend of mine has told me he was impressed with my
being a maverick lazy bastard when he first saw me, as I was the

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
Even though I tend to take great interest in the things other
people declare as their favourites, hypocritically I don't want to
be judged on a slim selection or forced to write colossal inclusive
lists to adequately demonstrate my tastes to my satisfaction.
Recently I have enjoyed:
Books: White Noise by Don DeLillo, The Black Dahlia and Because The
Night by James Ellroy and most recently Raymond Chandler's The Big
Sleep, Farewell My Lovely and the Long Good-Bye. Not sure what I'll
read next but I may continue the detective theme and go with the
novel of Shaft by Ernest Tidyman, largely because I like the idea
of being seen reading it while commuting.
Movies: I loved both No Country For Old Men and There Will Be
Blood, but thought the latter deserved the Oscar more. I enjoyed
Into The Wild and Rescue Dawn. The Passenger I really liked and
thanks to that I finally got round to watching Zabriskie Point
which was also great. Not sure what else I've seen for the first
time recently.
Music: I'll take the easy route on this one. http://www.last.fm/user/makeart/
Food: Italian, Japanese, Mexican (or pseudo-Mexican at least),
French, good Chinese. All sorts really, I'm open so long as it's
tasty.
