Hi everyone! I am here, on okcupid.com, to meet new friends in the Watsonville, Cali area! (and i am of course ALWAYS looking for friends in the Davis area, my hometown, and where I will be visiting frequently!!) My goal is to teach English to *very* lucky junior high aged children. As much as I am looking forward to this, I am somewhat concerned about life outside of the classroom, as I will know pretty much...no one...in Watsonville. Are YOU a Watsonville resident? Do YOU know where local Watsonville based Starbucks stores and cupcake shops are located? Do YOU know where one can later hike a trail or snag a paddle boat to then work off calories consumed from these beverages and pastries? If so, we're practically best pals already! :-)

I am a recent graduate from UC Davis with two bachelor's degrees, one in Animal Science and one in English. I devoted the past year of my life to an AmeriCorps (it's like the domestic Peace Corps) program in Washington where I taught English to elementary kids. However, I soon grew tired of sleeping in a ski jacket, scarf, and mittens during winter months, and I decided to return to my native state of California. I AM SO HAPPY TO BE BACK! And my past year was so rewarding I signed up for another year of teaching where I will now teach older kids (junior high) English and run my own after school program! I am currently on the search for a grad school and graduate program that appeals to me, and am seriously considering forensic biology and criminology. Pretty much I find everything interesting, hence my rather random double major and unrelated grad school plans!

i spent a lot of time thinking about what to write here, and decided i need to go out running and will fill it in later.

depends! out to bars to appreciate live music while sipping on a drink, out to a movie, at a concert or show, maybe a friendly game of poker, out dancing...who knows? im basically up for anything!

sometimes after i drink water and go running i slosh loudly. yep, that was me you heard approaching from miles away....
