My self-summary
I am the most interesting man in the world. I have crashed motorcycles, scaled dangerous cliffs, sailed as fast as the wind, and had some of the best this world has to offer. Dangerous, risk-taking, God-seeking and gentle. And humble ;)

I like motorcycles, kiteboarding, and fixing things. I am kind, considerate, smart, and open-minded. I love where I live and what I do for work.

I consider the fact that I am my kid's dad to be my most important role in life, though I am balanced and leave room for friends, fun, and R&R.

I grew up in Vermont, New York, and Pennsylvania in dairy country.

I have been described as "still waters run deep". I seem to have a calming effect on those around me.

I like physical touch.

I do not like the connotation that goes with the "christian" label because I do not fit in that box when it comes to my spirituality, but faith in God is the center for me.

I grew up on the east coast and for college initially studied trumpet performance in a music conservatory near Chicago.

I am both adventurous and a homebody.

I want to take a trip around the world.
What I’m doing with my life
Being a Dad. Working at a job I love. Enjoying new hobbies. Learning a lot about myself. Running up mountains. Trying to figure out why so many women on OKC use the phrase, "I am just as comfortable in heels for a night on the town as I am changing the oil in my car" (ok, I made up the part about the oil, but you get the idea).
I’m really good at
Playing music. Being a Dad. Strong leadership with gentleness, consideration, and kindness.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have read a lot of books, mostly in the area of psychology and spirituality. I have been challenged as of late by Claudia Blacks "Changing Course", Rob Bells "What We Talk About When We Talk About God", The Way of the Superior Man, etc

Vegetables, mostly organic
Spicy is good with me!

Music: I am a musician and play several instruments, as do my children.

Eclectic taste
Classical, Further, Classic Rock, Funk, Jazz, Swing, Disco, Anything with a good beat, Worship music, Miles Davis, Wynton Marsalis, Alison Kraus, Clifford Brown, Elton John, Newsboys, Neil Young, Mozart, BeeGees, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles

I went to Burning Man last year, that was pretty awesome.
The six things I could never do without
My Children
Dark chocolate & coconut
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about creating a warm, loving, beautiful home to invite my children, grandchildren (future), friends into and those who need some loving hospitality. I think about cooking meals together, and providing a place called home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once lightly rear-ended someone on the PCH because I was checking out the beautiful woman in the car next to me. Hehe :) oops

Alison Krauss sings it best in her song, "When You Say Nothing at All":

"It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart
Without saying a word you can light up the dark"

I will only date women who have a certain level of self-awareness. I appreciate people who have done some work on themselves and have an understanding that we are affected by our past and that we are all a work in progress.

We might be compatible if you have/ are: a good eye for design/decorating, feminine, outgoing, nurturing, intelligent, an unconventional thinker, non-consumer, self-assured, healthy eater, fit, a woman of faith, a lover of the outdoors, a lover of children, sensual, a great dancer, music lover, adventure prone, & above all else a God-seeker. Integrity, honesty, faithfulness, and a forgiving attitude goes without saying. I like the polarity that comes from celebrating the difference between the sexes.

I know what I want, do you?? As much as I do know what I want, I also know that God is full of wonderful surprises that come from the most unexpected places!

A tip for women fishing online:

If you want to get someones attention without being the initiator, try visiting their profile visibly more than once. There are a lot of people on here to sort through and more than once someone got my attention by simply showing up multiple times as a visitor. Think about it, even if you were out in public, there are ways for a woman to get a mans attention without saying a word. Same thing here.
