My self-summary
I'm a guy who lives to help other people and learn new things - granted I'm not going to like everything I learn, but I pride myself in learning a little bit about everything. That being said, I work in IT as a sysadmin, but I'm kind of the MacGyver type of IT guy. I often get pulled into things that other people can't figure out. Just don't ask me to charge your computer with a piece of string and tweezers. :)
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a sysadmin like I said above, but I love hockey - I've been a Pens season ticket holder since 2005, though I split them up with a few other people so I go to about 10-15 each year.

Once in a while I like going camping, hiking, or just exploring around the area.

I'm currently contemplating a move to Denver - I went on vacation out to Denver and Grand Junction/Utah and had a blast. Maybe you could talk me out of it and get me to stay in the 'burgh.
I’m really good at
Fixing computers. Some people say I am good at singing, but I'm by no means a professional.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm quiet until I get to know the people around me. I have quick sense of humor if I'm in a group of people I know I won't offend. I've always been overconsiderate/respectful to people. I don't like offending people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(a) I read a lot about history, mainly aviation history since my original college major was aerospace engineering. A lot of tech/computers/amateur radio stuff too.
(b) OfficeSpace, Finding Nemo, Ice Age, Ocean's Eleven, any Bond movie, 500 Days of Summer (I love Zooey)
(c) John Mayer, Gin Blossoms, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Paramore, Gathering Field, Bill Deasy, The Clarks, Duran Duran, Glass Tiger, Bing Crosby, Earth Wind and Fire, Barenaked Ladies, Sara Bareilles
(d) chicken, mashed potatos - home food, Italian Sausage, Kielbasa, Pierogies, Buffalo Bill's wings.
The six things I could never do without
my best friends
challenges
snow
music/singing
a computer
hockey
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what I can do for others. I know it's corny, but I find happiness in helping others.

Since I just got a new car (my first new new car) in February, I'd like to do some road trips to different parts of the country. I'd love to have a copilot with me.
On a typical Friday night I am
watching hockey, discovery channel. as of right now I'm scanning all the photos that my mom took of my family as kids. i may be doing this for the rest of my life. augh!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
As much as I wish I didn't care what other people think, I always do.
I’m looking for
  • Straight girls only
  • Ages 24–34
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
"well have a nap, then fire ze missiles!" means anything to you.

You sing in the car. I'll sing to almost anything. I'd even jam out to a song from Frozen. I really don't have much shame anymore.

You have a science/math background. It makes things a lot easier if I can enthuse about projects and cool new technology/research and you have a clue what I'm talking about.

OR

You have a music background. I know. Two opposite ends of the spectrum, but I enjoy singing and playing guitar/mandolin/piano.

And most importantly, honesty and trust are important to you.
