I am not, self, and absorbed.

My Self-Summary

I am strong willed, yet caring individual. I may not be very forward or outgoing at first as I choose those I let close to me very carefully. Once you're in my inner circle, though, I do just about anything in the world for you. I enjoy many activities, but generally can't get enough of just curling up somewhere comfortable to a good movie.

I moved from Minnesota to California when I was 10 and have lived there before joining the service. Spent some wondrous time in Texas, and fell in love with the state. I just couldn't come to love the heat or the barren greenery (or lack thereof). I have spent time in other states while training under the US ARMY, but never considered it 'living'. Blew my knees in training, and after 3 years got my discharge and came back to be near my son.

I have always enjoyed the country and wide open spaces and look forward to one day owning my own parcel of land and Designing/Building my own house. Being an avid animal lover I would like a Dog or two. Some other animals on the land are something I daydream about, but haven't gotten serious about until I finish my house.

I have strong goals in my life, and it seems each day I get closer. I love my family, and try to grow closer to them each day. My folks live out in Texas at the moment (Don't Mess With Texas), but plan on retiring out to northern California in the future. I know what I want in life, and that is a home and someone to share the company with. I feel invigorated anytime I'm out putting in some effort into a project, and I plan on finding ways to make a good income off that fact.

What I’m doing with my life

I am currently out of the military looking into getting things learned and in order for starting my own Handyman business down the road. Working on getting things in order to help family convert their acreage into a Citrus Orchard in the meantime.

Beyond tirelessly working towards educating myself and lining up what needs to be done to achieve my goals I'm spending time with my son and friends. I spend good amounts of time talking with my father over IM further working out details to how we want the ranch designed.

Things are slowly falling into place in getting the ranch worked out. Already the land is leveled, and working towards getting a domicile and well dug plus pump station. One step at a time I guess. In the meanwhile I'm working F/T in retail (bleh), but it's a paycheck and has benefits.

Beyond that, living each moment I can to enjoy it for what it is. Life is what we make of it.

I’m really good at

Listening. Doing things with my hands. Writing Stories. Sketching out pictures. Fixing things.

The first things people usually notice about me

Some say eyes, Some say other things. Generally that I'm "sweet". Most definitely that I'm shy.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: 1984 by George Orwell, Redwall series by Brain Jaques. Empress by Shan Sa, On a Pale Horse, Dune bye Frank Herbert, The Saga of Fire and Ice series by George R. R. Martin, Martin has ruined most fiction for me waiting for his series to end. Or even his next damn book to come out! The Creature from Jekyll Island by G Edward Griffin, Thomas Jefferson, Chuck Pahluniuk, Notes from the Underground by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Philosphy. Early literature.

Movies: Boondock Saints, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Fight Club, Enemy at the Gates, Van Wilder, Monty Python, Snatch, Children of Men, The Fountain, Goonies, Princess Bride, anything Mel Brooks, anything Johnny Depp is in,.

Television: Jericho, House M.D., Eureka, Sons of Anarchy, Psych, Lie to Me, Red Eye, Dexter, Deadwood. More to come as I come up with it. This list is extensive.

Music: Rock, Roll, and most everything else besides Rap, and R&B. And whatever the crap the industry has been rolling out and shoving down our throats past few years. I'm more of melodic listener than a lyrical listener. Some groups I generally have playing on Pandora, Spiderbait, White Zombie, Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, The Trucks, Dresden Dolls, Green Day, Bloodhound Gang, Danzig, Lords of Acid, Dropkick Murphys, Skinny Puppy, Sum 41, AFI, Lily Allen, Die Krupps, Godsmack, Cake, Modest Mouse, Massive Attack, Einsturzende Neubauten, Turmion Katilot

I love food. I'm not too big on spicy or seafood but done right I'll eat them now and then. Beyond that I'm willing to try anything once, and usually like dishes with rice.

The six things I could never do without

Internet, I can talk to friends and family, watch whatever I want movie or television at my leisure, I can read and learn just about anything I want to, and I can keep myself entertained with video games.

Showers, ya that pretty much covers it.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Family, friends, stories I want to write, pictures I want to create or things I want to build, Nature, Philosophy, Metaphysics, and Theoretical Physics.

On a typical Friday night I am

typically...trying to figure out what i want to do. So either messing around on a computer unless friends want to get together and toss a couple back.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have a son from a previous relationship when I was 17.

You should message me if

You can carry on a conversation. I'm not to vocal at first, but if I have something to say I generally say what's on my mind. I can always be coaxed by asking things of me. I'm basically an open book.
