Here are some fun facts I wrote awhile ago on some random FB note.

1. My brother's are my best friends.

2. I owe everything good in my life to my parent's (especially my mom) who gave up so much so that my brothers and I could have the oppurtunities in life that they never had.

3. Im mildly obsessed with pugs, Tetris/Dr. Mario, Scrabble, and Vanilla Scents.

4. Im ALOT more shy than most people realize.

5. I love animals and children and they have always liked me back. (My grandma always said, and I agree, that they are able to sense a person's inner goodness)

6. I grew up in South Saint Louis City from humble roots and I wouldn't have it any other way!!

7. I am pretty good at almost anything I attempt but wouldn't say Im great at any one thing. I often wish this was the opposite.

8. I hate people without a sense of humor and/or are stuck on material things. (family, love, and happiness is what really matters)

9. I hate that people often do not think I am intelligent b/c I like to have a good time and do not feel the need to recite shakespeare/do advanced algebra in casual conversations. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from SLU with a double major in Political Science and Criminal Justice...how many people can say that.

10. I often feel stereotyped and that people have the wrong impression of me before they even get to know me...and sometimes worse...before they even ever MEET ME. My close friends and family know that I am caring and loyal...even to a fault sometimes.

11. Sometimes even when I am surrounded by alot of so called "friends" I feel lonely b/c very few of them really know who I am.

12. I love athletics. Especially football, track and field, and lifting weights. (Im in the gym at least 5 days a week and, other than the booze, have a pretty good diet.)

13. I must admit I am kind of a closet nerd.

14. I wish I had a better relationship with my dad.

15. I'm only 24 not 40. also I LIVE IN ST. LOUIS so of course I still go to Saint Louis bars. give me a fucking break SLU people...Life is short!! Sorry I party.

16. I would love to someday visit Europe but am fearful I may never even get out of Saint Louis.

17. I am also obsessed with Lil Wayne, Chelsea Handler, Joel McHale, and Jessica Alba.

18. I use to be really good at the piano and really enjoyed playing but quit b/c at the time i thought "it wasn't cool". I regret that alot!!

19. I am VERY proud of my Irish heritage. (i also think its cool that I am enough Cherokee indian to get a scholarship at SLU)

20. My grandmother is the strongest person I know. (She raised herself out of extreme poverty, got shot twice at the age of 71 and survived, was diagnosed with breast cancer and survived). I am very sad, however, that her strength will not be enough to beat her latest advisary... Alzheimer's.

21. I am only the second person in my ENTIRE extended family to graduate from College. My older brother, Jim, was the first.

22. I am not exactly sure what I will wind up doing the rest of my life, but I know I want to die knowing that I had made a difference in people's lives. I know that I do not want to get caught up in a life obsessed with material things and devoid of happiness, enjoyment, and time with those who really matter.

23. I could probably go on forever!!lol. I guess if you wanna know anything else just ask!!!

I am currently enrolled at Saint Louis University. I am getting my Masters in Social Work with a concentration in health and mental health practices and a certificate in gerontology. I still have a year and a half left in my program and hope to eventually work as a geriatric care manager. On top of this, I also conduct paid research for one of my professors and act as a caregiver for my grandmother with Alzheimer's. I moved in with her almost a year ago to help provide the 24 hour care she now needs. Lets just say this has been quite a HUGE change from the loft I shared with my guy friends in undergrad!! haha.
