I am new to cyberspace dating and am not sure where to begin. I will share some thoughts about myself and see what you think.

I enjoy life since I took an early retirement. Life is so filled with possibilities and moments of pure joy. I am grateful to have had a professional experience that I was passionate about and made me a good listener. I have learned many life lessons along the way. I enjoy a new lifestyle, reconnecting with previous activities, seeing old friends,making new ones and hoping to share moments with one man, bright as the northern star, warm as the summer day , as likable and lovable as can be.

I have time to enjoy simple pleaures along with group activities that are of interest to me. I had a physically active life at my work for many many years, now I find aqua exercise,yoga and occasionally Zumba part of my wellness activities. I am making a priority to read a book a month (Yes it seems simple, but I am starting small ) I returned to being a member of a book club. The best part of all these activities are the wonderful people I have met. As far as simple pleasures, I have always found kindred moments being with nature and its habitants. Birds are amazing feathery little things. They remind me of Emily's poem "hope is a thing with feathers that perches in the soul". I hope to meet someone as likable and lovable as can be.

I am good at being me. Exploring new ideas and placing life's important moments first. All in all I am a person who wants to be genuine about who I am,what I think and feel. So if you are genuine I would like to hear from you.

The first thing people notice about me is my optimism. What we bring to the world has an impact not just on a personal level but on many levels. When a guy has postive energy it only generates more with me. If there are times when I feel my optomism is wavering I find being with a close friend always brings it forward, its that love connection.

I have a diverse choice of favorites. I favor poetry. Emily Dickinson( to many to name),Wordsworth(The World is To Much With Us), Keats( Ode to the Nightingale) and Yeats (Innisfree), Mary Oliver (the Journey) and then there is my good friend Thoreau (His Journal). It is with these tranquil sittings and quiet reads, I find myself mindfully pensive. Poets place so much meaning in a few words.

There are movies that move me with exceptional acting and plot. I am looking forward to Les Meserables. Indie films given the message they bring ,documentaries, raise my awareness . As far as music, I enjoy Cole Porter sung by Sinatra, Buble, U2, Coldplay, Adele as well as other artists with significant songs. When it comes to food, vegetarian delights from all ethnicities. I feel if you bring an eclectic way of living to a relationship, life is never boring or dull. It makes for an enjoyable time.

At the moments its my new puppy. I believe in helping our four legged friends and have found time to volunteer at animal shelters as a way to give them a chance to find a loving home. So you see, I cherish my dog as being part of the family. I hope you like cats and dogs.

Having a good chat with friends. I love the art of communication and find much warmth and laughter when speaking with friends.
Shared experiences sometimes is what makes me smile, hearing a personal story that makes me pause and reflect, or a heart to heart talk that leaves me feeling more loved and more giving of it. What a nice way to end the week and hoping to chat with a likable and lovable guy.

Romance may be a simple act. It gives me an amorous feeling that makes for a delightful shared feeling. I have composed poems about love. I have written about relationships, autumn days, Night Walks, my own personal journey. I have shared with my family, friends, and significant guy poems I have written for them. I had one poem, titled "Snow", published.
