Your Notes
Edit your notesI am easy going, trusting, and open minded.
My Self-Summary
A couple of my biggest pet-peaves are hypocrisy and narrow-mindedness. ie: if you have never or you're not willing to try something, don't rag on it. I value honesty and strait-talk. I have a few OCD tendencies, but only when it comes to grammar and pictures hanging slightly askew.
I do not! understand girls, even though I am one. I've been asked many times to explain why a girl did such-and-such, but I have no answers because I don't get it either. I like to say it's because I'm not a girl, I'm a chic. I like getting all gussied up to go out, but I also like watching ffootball and drinking beer.
I am extremely difficult to offend and can count on one hand the number of times I've been truly angry.
I don't know what else to say right now, but I'm sure I'll be able to think of more later.
What I’m doing with my life
Unfortunately, I tend to spend most of my time at home prepping for work. So sad.
I’m really good at
Oh, and keeping small people in line. I'm pretty good at that, too.
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
The Sandman series by Neil Gaiman, The Belisarius series by Eric Flint and David Drake, most anything by Mercedes Lackey (that's the girl in me). A friend just got me hooked on Trigun and Usagi Yojimbo, and I enjoy the poetry of Robert Service. I'd have to go through my 'library' to say more.
MOVIES:
I own every movie made by Hayao Miyazaki (that's the girl again), I enjoy comedies and musicals and some horror. Akira!!! There's always the classics - any Mel Brooks, Army of Darkness, Hot Fuzz, Super Troopers, Clue. Some oldies like Paint Your Wagon (Clint Eastwood sings!) and Little Big Man.
MUSIC:
I enjoy most all music. I can't say there's one I can't stand because there's always an exception. For the most part, I dislike rap and hip-hop, though there are some songs I do like. Dropkick Murphy's, Flogging Molly, Amadan, Metallica (early stuff), Rob Zombie, Nickel Creek, Harry Chapin, Alice in Chains, Brand New, Springsteen, Cake, Days of the New, Disturbed, Floater, Brudda Iz, Chili Peppers, Storm and the Balls, They Might Be Giants, Tool, VNV Nation....and yes, I did just scroll through my music on my computer and list a bunch.
FOOD:
I like food and am always willing to try something different. I have yet to discover a cuisine I hate.
The six things I could never do without
A job - I have to pay my loans back somehow
A good book - gotta unwind
My phone - I don't know anybodies numbers, otherwise
(do I have to name 2 more?)
Food, I guess - can't have me wasting away
Health insurance? - I know something bad'll happen the moment I don't have it anymore.
