I am dead-pan, curious, and geeky.
My Self-Summary
I'm out quite a lot, pubs and (a couple of) clubs in the city, I
seem to know loads of people yet still manage to be shy when
meeting new ones! How rubbish is that. Still, working on it!
A good weekend involves a pub or two followed by a bit of a boogie
- possibly involving some cheese-ridden air guitar, quality
takeaway, Singstar and Rock Band! And catching up on sleep.
Sleep is good.
At home there's always music on, I like to delving into the depths
of rarely heard 'old stuff' or cruise last.fm for new stuff. I have
very comfortable sofas. They are put to good use with lashings of
TV - Buffy (sniff!), Brainiac, Heroes, Lost, 24, The 4400, Dr. Who,
most of those comedy quiz panel things... I am missing
Buzzcocks!
When there's nothing better to do I often turn to geekery... toys
are good. I like making things that go beep do something useful...
like pipe music/TV around the house or something. I like a
technical challenge :-)
What I’m doing with my life
Ticking along steadily... I graduated a while ago and have been
working the ol' 9-5 in IT ever since. Its not particularly exciting
but I enjoy it most of the time and it allows me to do what I want
when I'm not there.
Don't really have any plans, although I'm up for considering any
that may present themselves!
The first things people usually notice about me
Big frizzy hair. Or possibly my voice, if I'm drunk and have been
in a loud place. Sorry.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
a) Don't really read that much, I've read quite a lot of Stephen
King though. Favourite book would be 'Desperation'. Its real scary,
out in the middle of the desert, cars broken down, noone around
except a cop who doesn't seem quite 'right'...
b) Hmm what sticks out? Big Fish, Spaceballs, Shaun of the Dead,
James Bond, The Transporter,
c) Anything that rocks - Foo Fighters, Nightwish, Audioslave, Kiss,
sometimes even Journey. A bit of 80s cheese goes down very nicely
too. And Tori Amos.
d) Pizza, Hamwiches, a Sunday Roast, lasagne, trifle, Sarah Lee
Chocolate Gataeux
The six things I could never do without
friends, music, TV, comfy seating, internet, playstation party
games
On a typical Friday night I am
Going to the pub, pub then club, having people round mine or going
round someone else's for a gathering
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Once when I was ill I sat on a giant beanbag with a duvet and
watched 'Bridget Jones' Diary'. It cheered me up.
