My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My self summary...such an odd thing to try and do. Summarize myself. I'm in a place in my life where I feel I know who I am and more about myself than ever before. I guess you can say I am most comfortable with how I identify myself and who I am in my immediate environment. I love so much about life that it seems impossible to summarize. I find that I recharge most surrounded by nature and really breathing in the beauty that is so overlooked day to day. I have many passions in life. One of which is having the opportunity and honor of being a part of others journeys and life. I'm currently in a position of working primarily with seniors, which oddly enough is the most rewarding, honest, and lovely experience that I've ever had. I've learned that change is a great thing, even though there is a good amount difficulty and resistance that comes along with it. I've loved and learned a great deal...and I've lost even more. I'm incredibly connected to my family and feel that loving them and upholding a relationship with them is one of THE most important things in my life. I could go on and on explaining my love for animals and sports and friends and art and music. But that all just seems a bit cliche, however important it all may be to me. Which in getting to know will come to see and understand.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying not to think and stress out too much about this one. I'm content at what I am doing now and feel that there will be some greater learning to this when I look back. I know its not where I will be forever, but for now...I'm good with it. (that answer seems vague) hmmm....
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Loving others, loving myself is an ongoing job that I'm learning and getting better, loving, empathizing, "taking care of" and supporting others is something I know I'm good at. It's the taking care of me part that's difficult. On a more basic level...I'm good at sports, played soccer most all my life up into a few years in college...I'm a decent artist, always loved to draw and such...I'm just getting into photography...I play an acoustic guitar that just so happened to fall into my hands about 6 years ago so I taught myself a little and continue to learn and play...its a great therapy for me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Possibly my height? I get the, "damn you're tall" quite often...when in all actuality I'm not at all abnormally tall. And I'd say my smile..I get compliments on that along with my eyelashes..weird, I know. Some think they are fake as they so awkwardly move in close to my face to examine them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I've mostly been consumed specifically with books for academia so I don't have "favorites" that come to mind. I do like to read memoirs/autobiographical books, as well as fiction and self-help/awareness type books. Really anything that keeps my attention at that moment is readable to me. I love movies and have seen too many to narrow down faves. Music, I'm a music person so I love anything from classical to metal. I have favorites that shift with my mood, so I can be into Sigur Ros and Band of Horses one week then on to Drake and The Weeknd the next. I'm a fool for R&B and sometimes give off the "baby making" vibe when in all actuality I just love my slow jams. :) new obsession would be GIRLS. I LOVE Lena Dunham. And food...I'm trying to expand my palette these days, try knew things. But I love Chinese food and Italian and salads annnd.....I'm really not all that picky. However, I can say I'm not a big "meat" eater, nor do I dig seafood. So there's that.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My puppy. My family. My guitar. Music. Connection. Love.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually it would say at home, taking a bath, reading a book, watching a movie, listening to music, catching up with friends or family on the phone....not necessarily "out" because I'd have to get up for work on Saturday morning...but now I have Saturdays off so...we shall see. It'll probably remain the same, haha. I can be lame. Don't get me wrong, I love to go out, have drinks and dance the night away...just in need of the right company I think.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I always secretly wanted to be a singer/dancer growing up, damn you Britney Spears. HaHaHa. And maybe kinda still do. Ha. I grew up in that POP craze phase...posters ALL over the walls. I think that's two things I've just admitted. *shrug*
