I have spent the last decade traveling to places as far spread as Tanzania, South Korea, Guatemala and Australia. Along the way, I got my Bachelor’s Degree at Guilford College in North Carolina and held a variety of jobs including, Bell Man, Bus Driver and Teacher of English as a Second Language. I eventually settled in Austin, TX and into a job at the Texas School for the Blind.

I competed in the annual Pun-Off in Austin, TX and came in a respectable last place. My interests are similar to the hairs of my beard, reaching in about every direction and come in different shades and lengths.

I am hoping to meet someone who can help me get to know Austin so that I can start to think of it as my home. I like riding bikes, hiking and foosball. When I try to go jogging, strangers often ask if I need help. I am up for a big night out or a quiet evening in.

I’ve never used anything like Okay cupid before but, after reading these entries, I feel warm and hopeful—as though I’m wearing Barack Obama’s underwear.
