I run my own business, ride a motorbike, organise a film club, and read a lot. For me, life is meant to be fun and I prefer adventure over routine. The things I enjoy include learning new things for learning's sake (and then finding ways to apply that knowledge), stories that make me think (especially big concept sci-fi and epic stories) and exploring Melbourne's many great bars and restaurants (I still think Cookie is one of the best). Sometimes I also just enjoy chilling out at home (looking forward to Breaking Bad).

Some things about me: adventurous, non-conservative, and prefer to stand out from the crowd. I value uniqueness, integrity and a sense of adventure in myself and others.

Previous adventures include riding a motorbike around Tasmania, toured Australia in an old falcon, dived the Great Barrier Reef, backpacked around Asia and Europe, wandered around the narrow streets of the old cities in Morocco, hiked the Three Sisters, worked the summer season in Malta, partied hard in London for a year, chilled out in Goa, marvelled at the artworks in the Prado, and wrote an online profile. ;-)

I love it when people ask me what kind of music I'm into it. I have no idea how to answer that question, so I have some stock made-up genres; "yeah, I'm totally into acoustic disco and death jazz, you?"

I really like films. Seeing classics at the Astor, cult, sci-fi, arthouse. Ask. After not watching TV for many years, I've come back to it thanks to really great shows like Game of Thrones (who isn't watching this?), Breaking Bad and BSG from last decade.

And somehow I manage to get a fair bit of reading in. Game of Thrones (now that the series is on break), the Stig Larsson trilogy (there went a man with a load on his mind), Vernor Vinge and Jules Verne recently.

I'm pretty geeky when you get right down to it. I like science and technology, but also history, art and culture. I own dice with more than six sides. I watch documentaries. I can be a bit impatient with people I find boring or stupid. I'm a bit kinky. I know very little about football.

You find my profile interesting and want to meet someone in real life. You're interesting, a bit unusual, like to travel, can talk about more than just your job (unless your job is really, really interesting).
