My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
How can one define a self? I'm a programmer, so let me programmatize this:

def defineSelf(person):
self = ""

if (person == "Manny"):
self = "awesome"
self = "lame"

return self

But if you must hear it English...

I'm a nerd, but the cool kind. The kind that can make you piles a money, and smart children who get scholarships to pay for their own college. But also can get reactions like, "whoa, that guys got mad game." You see me rollin to the dance flo', you goin' notice. You see me rollin' in my Lexus, you goin' notice. You see me rollin' on the floor in an epileptic fit, you definitely goin' notice. (I have pills for that, don't worry about it!)

But if you really want the real story...

Most people would describe me as a fun, friendly guy, and yes, brainy. I like to grease the social wheels at get-togethers. I can be self-conscious sometimes, but I love drawing people out of their shells, and then it draws me out too, and e'rybody has a good time. And sometimes I like to bring up controversial or personal topics in group hangouts, because it lends to juicy chat, but I have soooooome discretion too.

I do love to dance. It can create a real high that that verges on ecstasy. And it's just a fun way to get a group of people to loosen up around each other, although it's not always easy to get to that "free and crazy" state... I find that "circle dancing" can do the trick. Except my left knee is bum right now, so I gotta dance one-legged, haha. It's legitimately hard to stop myself from dancing when there is good music on, even with my knee really hurting me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a software developer.

Also, over the years I've spent greater or lesser amounts of my free time writing music and getting some friends together to form a band for performing it. It's indie rock, and you can go to if you'd like to see what it sounds like.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...making people laugh, but sometimes even better at making myself laugh!
...(maybe just pretty good) writing songs. I also like to make people laugh with some of my songs. Self-deprecating humor is one of my favorite forms.
...analytical thinking: math, logic, etc.
...being sociable, and initiating conversations and "hello"s "100% effort", especially regarding sports. I hustle a lot when I play soccer or basketball. When I was in 8th grade, my coach thought of special certificates for everyone on his team that year, and he gave me "100% effort", seriously. My more naturally athletic friend who I played on the team with would tease me about this cheesy award. He got "Dazzling Power", seriously.
The first things people usually notice about me

My smile. Yeah, a lot of people comment on it, NBD. Thank goodness for orthodontics!

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
--The meaning of life, and the arguments attempting to answer this by various religious and irreligious perspectives.
--Future career choices/options.
--Other stuff, but I can't share yet.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On OkCupid, being lame. Jk! Normal Friday night stuff: hanging out with friends at a bar, or maybe a "club", or someone's house.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When I was young, this birthmark on my right thigh made me self-conscious. It was not huge, about the size and shape of a penny, and my family endearingly called it "Manny's penny". Though it wasn't even visible when I was clothed, I was a future-minded young boy, and I thought that one day, when I was married, my wife would see it, and that would be embarrassing. So when I had to have surgery in 5th grade for an unrelated reason, I asked if I could get this removed since I would already be under the knife. The surgeon obliged, and naturally, my confidence shot through the roof.
