My self-summary
Dynamic young woman, smiling and pleasant, seeks great looking young man for long sessions of horseback riding on the beach (ok kidding, really, no thanks - I'm afraid of horses).

Former New Yorker (2010), independent, curious and passionate about arts and travels (South and North America, but also Europe - you don't always have to go far...), a bit of a geek around the edges. Shy at first (though humor is my first weapon and your greatest ally!), you might need to tame me a little at first.

I recently changed jobs : I'm really not bored by my life (that's cool) and I even have time for my social life (which is also good news).
The only sore point that remains for me, in the year of my 30th birthday, is to find someone who'll join me in the adventures of the next decade!
What I’m doing with my life
News from 2013 : in the end of last year, I gave up my cushy CDI (long term contract) for autoentreprenariat : I am now my own boss, and a corporate trainer (on subjects like creativity and innovation processes - fun!), combined with being an arts teacher in an atelier.
I’m really good at
Not knowing what to say and making jokes about it

Singing (jazzy things, mainly) while I do anything (laundry, cleaning up, shower) and not knowing I do it until somebody tells me it's annoying

Finding a thousand complicated - yet creative - ways to do simple things (otherwise, where's the fun?)

Speaking English - with various stupid accents, the main one being a NY accent although I'm French (apparently it's important that I say that, being French appears to be a deal breaker for some people!)

Forgetting the name of everything I love (authors, painters, books and movies) when I'm asked about it - and having it come back to me hours later when it's no use anymore.
The first things people usually notice about me
My cheerfulness, contagious laughter and smile
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music :
Jil is Lucky
Wax Tailor, Chinese Man, C2C
Ibrahim Maalouf, Erik Satie
Etta James, Sarah Vaughan
Gershwin, Brubeck

Books :
Edgar Allan Poe, Boris Vian
John Connolly, Dean Koontz
Daniel Arrasse, JN Kapferer
Dan Brown et consorts
(in English and on my ebook, when possible...)

Cinema :
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Good Morning England
Some like it hot
The Cell/Matrix/Inception
Chicago/Shaun of the dead
When Harry met Sally
Death becomes her (Goldie Hawn, Merryl Strip - always mix her up with Glenn Close - and Bruce Willis at their best/worst)

Flight of the Concord, The IT Crowd,
Any Sherlock Holmes (UK or US)
Le Petit Journal, Zapping, Culture Pub
How I met your Mother, House,
State of play, Goodness Gracious Me
(Huge fan of UK & US shows, in VO...)
The six things I could never do without
My smartphone, my computer, my tablet... (told you I was a geek)
My notebook and pencils for sketches on the go
My eyes, even though they're kinda useless (I'm sorta blind, don't even think about moving my glasses from where I put them down, or I'd have to kill you - that is, if I can find you)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The fact that I think way too much
Why people do what they do and say what they say
If I'd rather go blind or deaf (and I honestly don't have an answer)
What clothes will have to be clean for my next training (oh no, that one I regularly forget - I hate laundry)
What was the name of that movie/painting/actor/author again?
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to find someone to do something fun and original with - and/or hating all of my friends that coupled up, and that won't come with me anymore...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
It might be a problem for some people so I'll just get that out of the way : I HAVE NOT seen the Bronzés series (because I don't like the fact that I seem to know most funny lines without having ever seen it)
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 28–33
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
You have something fun and original (burger in a diner or drinks in a pub would be fine at that point, I'll try not to be picky!) to offer for a Friday night!
