Once upon a time I seriously considered going for my PhD in philosophy, but decided to write code for a living instead. Now I'm a front-end web developer at an advertising agency in Manhattan. I'm an omnivorous gamer - tabletop RPGs, boardgames, card games, Xbox Live, iPhone games, whatever.

I also love music, especially live music. There's at least a band or two I like from nearly every genre, but I'm not really one of those "I like everything" people - I'm adventurous, but picky.

My New York is a magical fantasy land, full of fancy cocktails and improbable foodstuffs and insane friends with many talents. I love it here and spend a lot of time out and about, finding interesting things to do - burlesque shows, science lectures, theatre, dance, indie movies, comedy, new bands, book signings, whatever.

I'm good at being more-or-less functional on very little sleep. I know more about IE6 bugs than I ever thought I would. I make pretty kickass cornbread.

My hair gets a fair amount of attention. Also, I am fat, sassy, queer, and I wear a lot of black.
