My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just a simple guy from the Midwest using self-depreciating humor to get through the work week. On the weekends, I make sure to fire up the netflix account, stay away from loud music, and eat copious amounts of cottage cheese. I may have copy-pasted parts of my profile from my Grandpa's profile.

I thrive off of challenges. I built my own computer in December just to see if I could do it. I'm slowly teaching myself guitar, despite getting distracted by other things and not touching it for a few months here and there (currently in a haven't touched it in a while stage). I've been a pretty avid gym-goer the past 2 years, but I much prefer getting exercise by hiking or backpacking (I'm slowly crossing chunks of the Appalachian Trail off my list). I love whiskey and yoga, sometimes together (just kidding- please don't do those together). Also did my undergrad at UNC- go heels!

I have a slight stutter. It's honestly not a big deal to me, but some people don't know how to handle it, so I just figure I should be upfront about it here.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I do environmental consulting for a company in the RTP. I'm also figuring out ways to trick Emma Stone into marrying me. Turns out Ryan Gosling masks are not that convincing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
nerding out over sustainability and environmental stuff. Also really obscure government facts.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love Vonnegut, Bradbury, Huxley, Orwell... but my tastes are pretty broad- I'm reading Ishmael right now and before that I read Guns, Germs, and Steel (which is a fantastic nonfiction book, you should read it).

I'm pretty much a dork when it comes to shows and movies. Fantasy and Sci-Fi are my jam.

I love lots of different types of food; my favorites right now are Indian and Mediterranean, but I never turn down new foods.

My music tastes make about as much sense as a denim track suit: I've been jamming to Foo Fighters, Kid Cudi, Iron and Wine, St. Lucia, and Justin Timberlake lately.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
clark's desert boots, cottage cheese, overused dating clichés, peanut butter, browsing my phone on the toilet, Six things I could never do without lists.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I didn't have a good place to put this, but I think this is a pretty hilarious description of online dating:
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
honestly, usually polar opposites- either out of town on some adventure or at home, going to bed at 11 because i'm exhausted.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not allowed to play Star Wars trivia pursuit with my friends anymore because the last 2 times I played, I won on my first move... yeah.

I've crossed the border into Canada illegally before.

Or you would like for us to get together and interview each other with intrusive questions, but not too intrusive that we make the other person uncomfortable. That's usually how first dates go, right?
