I am a fairly laid back guy. Originally, I am from the north, but moved down here to teach a few years ago. The weather is much nicer here, but I do miss my family and friends.
My job keeps me pretty busy, I usually have between 150 and 200 students at a time. Trying to prepare for class, grade paper and work with student's problems consumes a lot of time.
In my free time, I usually just relax. I enjoy watching football, baseball and the NCAA Basketball Tournament, although I do not let them run my life. If I am watching something besides sports it is usually primetime, history or something else interesting.
When I have time, I also try to run. Unfortunately, it is not safe to run where I live because of the traffic. I do go run on some trails, but it closes after dark and often I am in my office until it is dark.
Occasionally, I do spend too much time playing video games, but I am not one of those people that spends hours everyday and adjust my life to play games.

I am quiet, intelligent, and funny

Currently, I teach at a small university in North Carolina. Unfortunately, I am on a one year contract. Hopefully, I will get another contract next year. In case I do not, I am already looking for other jobs in the area for next year.

I am not really good at questions like this. Most people would say that I am an intelligent person. I am a fairly decent runner. Most people tell me I am a good listener.

I have lived on my own in various places over the past five years. This has led me to learn how to cook. I don't do it a lot, but I am actually pretty good. Recently, I made pumpkin bread, just to see if I could do it. It came out really good. Now I have to make another loaf to take to my friends when I go up north to prove that I can cook.

They usually notice I am a quiet guy. Unfortunately, they also assume that I am bookish and unathletic from first glance. While this is not true, they also soon notice my sense of humor.

I used to read all the time, but am a little too busy to read lately. When I do read, I try to read modern classics. Authors like Bradbury, Clark, Vonnegut and Orwell. I also like to read historical books, both fiction and non-fiction. My favorite has to be WWII. It is shame that I haven't gotten a chance to teach that part of history in class yet.

As for movies, I don't get to watch as many as I used to. I have a subscription to Netflix and do watch occasionally. The current blockbusters usually grab my attention, but I also like the older movies. I have found that foreign historical films can be fun to watch.

I like a lot of types of music. The station I usually listen to plays anything from the past four or five decades. The only types I can't stand is rap and heavy metal. I have no interest in music that talks about women like most rap and want to actually be able to understand the lyrics.

It depends on what time of day and mood I am in. Early in the day, I usually think about what I am going to teach that day. In the afternoons, I usually debate whether or not to go run. Other times I try to decide where I want my future to go and how to get it there. I guess I do not have a one track mind.

To be honest, I don't tend to do much. A week of work wears me out to be a partier. When I am up visiting my friends in Ohio, I like to go to sporting events, see movies or just hang out at home. Occasionally, my friends will get me to go out to a bar; but it isn't very often. I don't drink personally, and don't feel like spending my free time watching people get drunk.

Not saying yet. If I did tell you, it wouldn't be private. You will have to spend the time to get to know me.
