My self-summary Propose an edit

I'm a single (widowed) mom of the two greatest teenage boys. I'm self-employed; work from home, and consider my friends my family. A few things I am passionate about are my sons, God, my friends, music, and intellectual conversation. I try not to take life too seriously; I don't always succeed, but am working on that. I enjoy spending time with friends either grilling, going out for drinks on occasion, or just "hanging out" and visiting. I've been accused of being kind to a fault, but don't mistake my kindness for weakness. I've also been through a few life-altering events, but don't confuse my experience for baggage. You live, learn, and keep getting better. I love to laugh (I have a very sarcastic sense of humor at times), but definitely have my priorities in order and always handle my responsibilities. I am basically on this site because these tests are so addictive, but I'm open to meeting new friends. I'm also very fascinated with Myers-Briggs typology. I'm INFJ. If you're familiar with MBTI, then you have a better idea of who I am. If you're not sure what that means, just ask me. :)

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

Getting older -- getting better. I recently returned to school after a 17-year hiatus majoring in Sociology and Psychology -- the way people act and think intrigues me. I decided that since I've spent most of my life either doing personal research on human behavior or counseling friends (and strangers in grocery store lines,) I might as well make a career of it. I've been self-employed for five years now, and while I love the location (I work at home); it's time to move forward. I'm also a referee, chauffeur, personal chef, medic, maid, and counselor to my amazing sons. They have definitely taught me the true meaning of frustration, but more importantly, how it feels to love and be loved with your entire heart and soul.

I'll tell you what I'm NOT good at: Filling out these questionnaires. Next question? heh However, I am good at few things: Listening without judging, understanding, and making people feel at ease. I'm also a very good typist -- I do transcription work for a living, so I have to be, lol.

My height, or lack thereof. I'm 5'0." After that, superficially, it's my eyes or my smile. Go a little deeper, and it's my compassion, my loyalty, and the fact that I will draw in a silver lining if there isn't one.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

There are just too many to mention here -- I really just love any good book, song, or movie that evokes an emotion. I watch movies more than I read, and listen to music more than I watch movies...so...well, you get the idea.

My favorite foods are Mexican, STEAK, bacon (LOVE bacon, lol), Cajun, a decent salad, po-boys, anything my son cooks (he's an accomplished chef already), and really-bad-for you finger foods -- like appetizers in those cookie-cutter restaurants like Chili's or TGIFridays. I also enjoy trying new ethnic dishes.
