My self-summary
At the time of writing this, I am being described as "adorably awkward" and I have no idea how to handle this information. Apparently, adding it to my profile is how I've decided to cope.

Man, I dunno. I'm just a physics major turned IT professional who loves space.
What I’m doing with my life
Grilling awesome burgers, losing at basketball, writing music. Really just trying to enjoy not being responsible when I get the chance. If I'm not having fun on the weekends with the people I care about, then why the hell am I working?

On the clock I'm a junior systems administrator for some kind of financial institution. I think we do something with trading and firms and...money? Those are finance words, right? It's hard work, good pay, and a great opportunity. Though, I am on call 24/7 which kind of blows.
I’m really good at
- Piano, guitar, and singing. Check it.
- Knowing just a little bit of nothing about everything. You wanna discuss space for hours? Let's do it. (Like, seriously, can we?)
- Beating you in games. Don't get mad.
- Telling jokes. Including all of those terrible dad jokes, too.
The first things people usually notice about me
If they ever get past the nose, it's the blue eyes or the freckles.

..or they probably just heard me speaking way too loudly about science from across the room.

Shows: Venture Brothers, Arrested Development, Archer, South Park, House of Cards, QI, Mock the Week, Sherlock. Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Parks and Rec. Game of Thrones. Old-school anime. Adult Swim. TED TALKS FOREVER. Cosmos (old and new). Recently discovered Rick and Morty. Watch it.

Movies: LoTR and Harry Potter, obviously. Everything Disney and Pixar. Ikiru, La Jetee, Amelie. Can't forget Miyazaki. Special mention to Emperor's New Groove. Kronk is my spirit animal.

The six things I could never do without
1. Without my piano time everyday I'd asplode
2. Carl Sagan, biggest hero (Sorry, NDT)
3. Quasars
4. Mah liddle pup-pup. She's a princess and I'm the worst kind of dog person
5. Popeye's ("Pope Yes") Biscuits
6. My phone-- I'm on call 24/7. You will hear me yell expletives at it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How lobsters can theoretically live forever. Checkmate, atheists.

How time slows down around the event horizon of a black hole because of gravity. Do you see the end of the universe before you cross over? Shit.

How a small child could swim through the veins of a blue whale's heart. God damn, nature. You scary.

The next step in my career. And then become terrified that I can say the word "career." nope nope nope
On a typical Friday night I am
I spend most weekends with my best friends. We play spades, watch movies, listen to albums, vidja games.

Sometimes I'm stuck in the hell that is ***The Data Center*** trying to unfuck our system for 13 hours.

Would like to do more trivia nights, more karaoke, more museum hopping. *cough* hint
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I climb the stairs at my parents' house exclusively in animal-mode.

I also have an embarrassing addiction to Homestar Runner. Probably because I used to have the same speech impediment as a kid.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–28
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You wanna get wine drunk and watch Cosmos.

Listening to music and star-gazing sounds like a nice evening. I may or may not be able to resist the urge to discuss astrophysics; this needs to be okay with you.

You can nerd out with me. Seriously, be passionate about something and tell me why.

I guess I'd really like to take someone to the Ross Perot museum. I haven't been yet. *cough* hint
