My self-summary
Physics major turned IT professional. I was the kid the teacher hated for always asking questions they didn't know the answers to. Turns out they had answers. And they were awesome. Other things have answers, too, apparently. Let's go find those out.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently working as a jr. systems administrator for some kind of financial institution. I think we do something with trading and firms Those are words, right? It's hard work, good pay, and a great opportunity. Love it.

I learned my house was being sold and I have till mid-May to find a new place. Goodbye party house, you've done me well.

I've spend a good hour a day trying to write music. Looking for musicians to collaborate/jam with.

Simplifying. With the death of the party house I'm ready to get a little more serious with how I spend my time-- and with whom I choose to spend it.
I’m really good at
Piano, guitar, and singing. Music in general. (Preview: )

Knowing just a little bit of nothing about everything.

Beating you in games.

Telling jokes. Including all of those terrible dad jokes, too.

Card tricks.

Being inappropriately optimistic.
The first things people usually notice about me
Generally it's the beard. Then, if they ever get past the nose, it's the blue eyes or the freckles.

..or they probably jut heard me speaking way too loudly about science from across the room.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
How lobsters can theoretically live forever.

How much time slows down around the event horizon of a black hole. Like do you see the end of the universe? Shit, man.

How a small child could swim through the veins of a blue whale's heart. God damn, nature. You scary.

The next step in my career. And then become terrified that I can say the word "career."
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm moving out of the house where all the Friday night events took place. Usually we'd be scattered across the 4 couches in my garage, smoking and drinking and listening to Come On Eileen. Sometimes we'd throw big party where I wake up with no fewer than 6 strangers passed out on the living room floor.

But the house is being sold. Dunno what I'm gonna do now. Looks like I might need to make some plans. *cough* hint
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I climb the stairs at my parents' house exclusively in animal mode.

You wanna drink wine, watch Cosmos, and sing Disney songs.
